Another Halloween Hellhunt has come and gone and this year AZKAMAT has emerged as our new Lord of Battle! His battle, Struggle for Brickingrad, just managed to beat out its competitors to claim victory. The amount of chaos in this battle managed to push it above the rest as it really captures the spirit of what Brikwars is all about. Hopefully we’ll see you next year so that we can do this all over again. Cheers!

Congratulations to Duerer who’s battle The Krusher topped our list of entries for this year’s Halloween Hellhunt contest! We had some good entries this year, but Duerer’s battle stood above the rest with its exceptional pictures and high level of violence. Thanks to every one who participated this year and we look forward to continuing this tradition in 2017. Cheers!

Hello and welcome all to the 7th Annual Halloween Hellhunt Contest! This contest has been running since 2010 and is always the premiere highlight on the Brikwars calendar. Last year we tried something new and added a theme to the contest, Skeleton War, and it was a huge hit, giving us the second highest number of submissions in the contest’s history. Because of its success, we’ve decided to keep the themes running this year as well. This year’s theme is Friday the 13th. It is the first time in 666 years that Halloween falls on Friday the 13th, so it is your job to show how its mysticism will impact your battle! Remember, Halloween Hellhunt is open to anybody, so if you want to create a battle, go for it! Hopefully we will see an even greater number of submissions than last year. Until next time, stay spooky!

I just spotted on The Brothers Brick that the Lego Military Annual Build Competition is back after a two-year hiatus. The categories for 2016 are Infantry Fighting Vehicles, 20th Century Battlefields, World of Tanks, Naval Aviation, and the Simpsons-themed Springfield’s Citizen Militia.

Hello fellow Brikwarriors! Halloween Hellhunt only comes around once a year, so in an inspired attempt to recreate the magic and give us twice the awesomeness in a year, forum member Quantumsurfer roped some of us into another battle contest. The 2016 Rekon Kickoff is intended to be the Halloween Hellhunt on the other end of the calendar and we had some good submissions for the contest’s inaugural year. Congratulations to Silent_sigfig for the winning battle, The Bleeding Crown. The really cool thing about his battle was that it was done in Brikwars chat with other forum members bann154, Valiant, Kastrenzo, RedRover, and mgb519. All of the submissions were good reads and I wouldn’t expect anything less for next year, so mark your calendars!

It’s that time of year again! Halloween Hellhunt has just finished and it was a huge success this year. We had ten battles, which gives this year the second highest battle count of all time! The submissions are all very good and the scores were pretty close, but it was Kommander Ken who came out on top with his terrific battle, Chilled to the Bone. Pitting his Frostborne against an undead army he nailed this years theme of Skeleton War while creating a high quality battle that is incredibly fun to read. This year’s Halloween Hellhunt may be over, but mark you calendar for next year when we’ll do it all again. Until next time!

The skeleton of Ignaz is revived for another assault on the living

BrikWars turns 20 today! Still not old enough to drink (at least here in the States), but we’re celebrating as we do every year with another Halloween Hellhunt running from October 18 to November 7.

This year’s 2015 Hellhunt has been taken over by the Skeleton War, harbinged by our seasonal visitor, mr skeltal. Armies of skeletons are invading the ongoing battles and storylines, even attacking the forum members themselves, and so far no one has been able to stop them.

Yes, it may be way past Halloween, but it is still not too late to celebrate another glorious Halloween Hellhunt. Congratulations to Dienekes22 for his amazing championship battle Violence Finale and to everyone else who participated. We had a bunch of really good battles this year. Make sure to mark your calender for next year’s competition!

Entries for BrikWars’ Fifth Annual Halloween Hellhunt are in; let the judging begin!

Judging has concluded on the second annual Halloween Hellhunt battle report contest, and Killer Karetsu’s “The Battle at Brikpass” has come out on top. The forces of both Count Shinypants and Dark Lord Krag Hag had the poor luck to be traveling through the Brikpass on the same day, and slaughter inevitably ensued.

Battles were judged by a team of five judges for a potential five points based on five categories: Gameplay, Photography, Violence, Writing, and Overall Appeal. These were combined, through mysterious Halloween math, to add up to a maximum potential score of 16. How does that work? Not even the judges know for sure.

Halloween Hellhunt – Annual Battle Report Contest
Killer Karetsu’s “The Battle at Brikpass” – 14 points
mgb519’s “Ambush Valley” – 13 points
Zahru II’s “The Dig” – 13 points
AlphaFalcon541’s “Last Stand on Raider Valley” – 12 points
Falk’s “Operation: Beachhead” – 12 points
BrickSyd’s “The Happy Ending Treason” – 12 points
Jodokast’s “Battle of Champions II” – 9 points
Sjosten’s “Desert Strike” – 8 points
