Good news everyone! We’ve joined the ranks of proud internet panhandlers. BEHOLD THE BRIKWARS PATREON

https://www.patreon.com/brikwars

As some of you know, after the massive Lego layoffs last year I’ve been working on reorganizing things so I can focus more time on BrikWars. As a result we’ve got a finalized version of BW2010 this year (finally) along with a whole bunch of progress on the new 2018 edition with all-new Campaign rules.

As part of continuing that push, I’ve started up a new Patreon! With more than three tiers of possible patronage levels!

I’m still paying for all the boring parts of staying alive with freelance illustration work, but this will help smooth out the month-to-month budgeting for those projects where clients wait ninety days to let me know they never had any intention of paying me in the first place (but it’s great for exposure!).

While the tier rewards are pretty great and already speak for themselves, I’m open to further ideas. What kinds of things would you want to see in a BrikWars Patreon? Most of the stuff normal people give out as part of their Patreon tiers are things I already give away for free – rules content, development material, sneak peeks, shitpost discussions – but maybe you guys have a better idea of the kinds of things you’d like than I do. Hop over to the forum thread and let me know!

Leopard 2A6

Designed by our very own Valiant – if you ever wished that you had one of his tanks, now’s your chance!

“Rounding off at eight hundred and fifty-five pieces, this vehicle is chock-full of engaging components. The model sports a fully traversable turret, working suspension (best suited to carpet and blanket), a cannon capable of elevation and depression, two opening turret hatches, a four round ready rack (for BrikWars purposes), a turret basket capable of fitting three minifigures, room in the hull for a driver or an LED light kit from BrickStuff, and an accessible engine bay with a removable powerpack.”

Check out the project on Kickstarter and see what it’s all about.

We’ve tried selling out a couple of times before, but for some reason sales of our Nega Bloks lingerie and BrikThulhu yoga pants never took off. (Although shockingly, sales figures in both cases were more than zero by literal integers, exceeding our projected estimates by more than seventeen thousand percent!)

But this time! This time we’ve got something everybody likes: STICKERS. Put them on your laptop, put them on your dog, put them on police officers. BrikStickers are the gift that keeps on giving exactly one time because they’re not reusable!

Anybody who was here ten years ago will remember the day BrikWars sold out, with our wildly successful underwear sale on Thongs of the Nega-BlokTrix, boasting sales figures solidly in the low single digit (Thanks Jenn!) and making us the wealthy one-aires we are today.

We’ve never repeated this singular event, largely because we didn’t realize it was possible to make yoga pants out of BrikWars paintings. UNTIL NOW!

Back in Black!
Why the forbidden love between wargamers and black t-shirts? The answer is simple: black t-shirts kick ass.

In a bout of shameless merchandizing, I tossed a bunch of products up on cafepress.com last year – mostly as a joke, since their clothing selection spans the narrow range from white to a couple of pastels, not exactly the preferred palette for wargamers. I was surprised to see people actually buying them – especially the BrikWars thong, which continues to be the best-selling of the clothing items.

But cafepress is finally trying out some new direct printing methods that allow printing on black cloth, so we can finally get a BrikWars shirt in wargaming colors. Take a peek at the BrikWars Pirate T-Shirt.

In other black news, Shaun Sullivan has pointed out that black versions of Little Armory’s medieval weapons have been spotted for sale on the Sith’s Toy Box BrickLink store.
