Re: Handcuffs
Under an intelligent minifig’s direction, the Creature may act as intelligently as if it had a full Mind, but if abandoned, the Creature reverts to whatever animal-like behavior seems appropriate: milling around aimlessly, running and hiding, or attacking everything in sight. If another intelligent...

Re: January 4 Brikwar @ Susquehanna: Casters and Catapults
Awesome battle report. My medieval battles want to be like yours when they grow up. :D As to the positional bennies, a few thoughts: I can actually see them as quite useful in siege scenarios, or especially in a WWI-style trench warfare situation (something I have incidentally not seen on these foru...

Re: Handcuffs
So... Are handcuffs allowed? And if they are, how do you use them and what do they do? So short answer, yes they are allowed and you use them in the most ridiculous, hilarious manner possible. Captured minifigs can't use their arms. I don't really see why you wouldn't just kill them though, it's mo...

Re: Random Battle for the Random Pass
Yeah, people falling over is a problem. I knocked over a legionnaire and, naturally, they all go down like dominoes. I'll try to pick a few up on my next pick-a-brick order.

Re: BW 2010 feedback
In the supernatural dice section, under armor boosts/penalties, it lists a hero's armor as 1d10, but in the section on heroes it still says 2d6.

Re: Downing?
You know, I was looking up the component damage to see if it would be of use against minifigs. I knew that there would be a -2 to the skill roll, but I couldn't remember the minimum structure level for joints (so if I wanted to take off an arm or a leg). In 2005, it's zero, so if you target a minifi...

Philosopher's ability: Profound Questions (+?CP): A philosopher may use his action to pose a deep philosophical question to all minifigs within 5". The philosopher rolls 1d6: 6: The question is so profound that every affected minifig's head explodes. 2-5: All affected minifigs spend their turn discu...

Random Battle for the Random Pass
Note: despite using a couple of the same armies, this is not a sequel to my earlier "Battle for the Pyramid" (which will hopefully be coming soon). This was a quick, "let's throw some armies together" battle. http://i1193.photobucket.com/albums/aa352/IX_Legion/Battle%20of%20the%20Pass/DSC01469.jpg Th...

Is there still a slot open? If so: Cliff Bachner Sniper Sniper Rifle (ranged weapon) Knife (CC weapon) Skill Skill Move Ranged Weapon Ranged Weapon Cliff was once part of a mercenary unit, the best in the sector if not the galaxy. They were on a contract on some God-forsaken planet when their employ...

Re: Heroes being badass
If you want it to be a hero, and anyone else that happens to be playing is okay that it's a hero, then it's a hero. Otherwise, it's not. Simple.
Of course, that won't prevent the people here from vociferously ridiculing you at the first opportunity.

Re: Mech warfare supplements?
Never played BattleTech, but I've got an idea for heatsinks: Every weapon discharges a number of "heat points" equal to its size whenever it fires (can be more or less, depending on weapon type, that's up to you). Each mech has a heatsink with capacity of X heat points (obviously, should be 2-3 time...

Re: Medics
I homebrewed medic rules once. The medic rolled 1d6 when it reached a "dead" minifig. On a 1, the figure was dead on arrival and couldn't be healed. On a 6, he was back up to fighting trim. On any other roll, he was alive, but not stable. The medic could continue to roll each turn, a 6 reviving and ...
