Re: You guys miss the print edition announcement?
Gonna be honest, I only found out about it because somebody pointed me to the Polygon article. It was as much a surprise to me as to everyone else.

Re: Newbish n00b questions, MkII
Ah, apologies. I should have read the rules more carefully before asking stupid questions. Not at all. Stupid questions are the only way we get anything done around here. Every question, stupid or otherwise, is feedback about which parts of the rulebook either need clarification or which don...

Re: Newbish n00b questions, MkII
1. Deflection seem less effective against a d6 action die than against a d8 or a d10, since mechanics like going over the top or charging mix die types. This seems a bit counterintuitive to me so I'd like some confirmation that I'm reading it right. There are a couple of different factors here: :d8...

Re: No Tears for piltoggs: Nazis Get BANNED
Which is not to say that there's anything wrong with fighting n a zis in your home games! Some of the best early brikwars battles were straight-faced historical Western Front scenarios, played seriously by serious wargamers with extremely serious facial expressions. But we've made the decision that ...

Re: No Tears for piltoggs: Nazis Get BANNED
I'm sorry if this seems like a dumb question, but is anything that has N@zi symbols (i.e. swastikas, the double lightning SS symbol, the Iron Cross, the Black Sun, etc.) on it unacceptable? Regardless of whether it's a mockery or something completely unrelated to the N@zis at all? Afraid so. We use...

Re: starting a stud.io battle?
The best way to start is by playing a game with 1 person in stud.io so that you'll get an idea of how much work it is.

Re: Fan Vote for Lego 90th Anniversary Set
Got to go with Blacktron, obviously, but after that it's a tough call. I picked classic castle for nostalgia's sake and ice planet for more OTCs.

Re: No Tears for piltoggs: Nazis Get BANNED
:rule7: Okay but I'm not done thinking about shoggoths yet. We had a form of shoggoths known as Awful Things in editions past - just piles of bricks stuck together at random and constantly changing shape. They looked like this: https://brikwars.com/rules/2020/images/mc/abs_250.jpg BrikWars is a lot ...

Re: Secret Santa Build Ottoman
The car is good. In the Ottoman Empire, the vehicles were generally used by senior officers. The army would fight more by horse, camel, and on foot. At that time, the world was like that in general :) I misread it as "the vehicles were generally senior officers" and thought that's a pretty good ide...

Re: Newbish n00b questions, MkII
I have a question about how size 2 weapons work. Why can't a normal minifig use a size 2 weapon? It seems that according to the MOC combat rules they should be able to. They can: a Two-Handed Weapon is a size 2 weapon. Minifigs can actually exceed MOC combat's 2" weapon limit by equipping a Heavy W...

Re: No Tears for piltoggs: Nazis Get BANNED
okay. why no brik shoggoth or deep one furfigs? that would work and be far more thematic than just lego cthulhu. we could totally do a forum battle in non euclidean geometry! I could use some 40k terrain and dnd items to simulate alien constructs! hell, it would make more sense do to the nature of ...

Re: Feats and Actions
There's no hard and fast rule, it just depends on your playstyle and the kind of feat you have in mind. You can start a feat with "as my action" or "in addition to my action" according to whatever feels appropriate. In the same way, your opponent might tack on "and you lose your action" to your fail...

Re: Giant drills?
It comes up periodically. Everybody who sees that drill wants to kill stuff with it , it's only natural. But yeah, standard practice is to just stat it as a big melee weapon . Grinding component damage would be thematic, but really you can just give it whatever damage type seems most appropriate for...
