My frigate is 110 studs long, So I guess this would mean some form of re-classification on SHIP sizes - If this is a frigate, then my Frigate would have to be closer in designation to a Destroyer class vessel, and my up coming 240 stud long vessel some form of Heavy Cruiser or Destroyer - or perhap...

base probability maybe but average for 2d6 is higher.

logic

2d6 avg is 7 rang is 2 to 12 also higher chance of additional dice
1d6 +2 avg is 6 range is 3 to 8

for explosives (shells, sticks o dynamite etc as launched from a launcher), they don't take up equipment inches but they do cost cp. or at least thats the rule of thumb i use

somewhere out there in the dark recesses of the net is a rule set for campaigns based around battle fleet gothic, the rules for intersteller movement resources etc were superb and somewhere i have a hard copy of it, but you might try finding it,

some quick words, or rather some paragraph(s). Missiles if held in a box launcher can be payed for by only counting the length of the launcher and not the missiles (its in the rules i generally house rule this out). guns and cc weapons are as normal, however for launchers explosive ammo must be paye...
