Many of you may already know that Nate Nielson "nnenn" died awhile ago (early April) due to a car accident he had a wife and two sons ages 3, and 8. April was a long time ago I know, but no one had said anything about it and I wanted to make it official on these forums (here is the brothers brick post.)

I know you are probably going to be thinking who cares, but I think you will care after you realize he will not be able to build any more of these.

In June at brickworld in Chicago 72 vipers were placed in the missing man formation to commemorate nnenn. here is the brothers brick post.

Many people have built memorials to which included his flickr avatar a rubber band holder including me.

Discuss the death of nnenn and create your own memorials.

I wasn't in the Lego online community at the time he was posting stuff, but I've looked through it and it's amazing. It's a shame to lose such an inspirational builder. Condolences to his family as well. R.I.P.

I was not too familiar with nnenn or his work, but his death reminds us of our mortality. The AFOL community is still young, but people will grow older and die, and others will take their places. One day no one will remember this time except in stories and pictures by us.
