Good against shields, mind you. They average out to be equally effective, the assault rifle and plasma rifle.

I play on legendary and my friend uses them to cut down shields, and fuck up flood spores.

Aw man, I like the rail sequences. It's a game without cutscenes, so I think they work well to give you a moment to rest and tell a little bit of the story while they're at it. The introductory tram ride is like 3 minutes long and the most boring part of the game, but they spend all that time just taking you deeper and deeper into black mesa, which makes it that much more terrifying when you've got to get all the way back OUT. on FOOT.

Use them to blow off hands from flood things. Also, plasma pistol is awesome, and underused.

got about 43 kills in infection on sword base long time ago. In the end I just melee'd the zombies to death - i was in a nice spot and the kept jumping at me. Eventually they swarmed the shit outta me.

@Killer Karetsu was that 1 round or the full match? My highest on Sword Base is 83 kills in 1 match. My friend and I used EVERY BULLET we had. We had to melee each round while making them chase us.

Halo CE was to FPS games what WOW is to MMO's. Shitty game devs just keep trying to recreate it because it was successful and people liked it, so they want to bank on that. Hell, Microsoft keeps demanding that it gets reproduced just about every year anyways.

Like WOW, Halo CE was/is a great game, but part of me wishes it was never produced so developers would have had to spend the last ten years or so being original.
