Neverwinter Nights 2 stuff.

Just bought this game because of an article on persistent worlds I read. Pretty interesting game, so far. The potential for awesome multiplayer is amazing.

Anybody else have this/play this?

I played the first one, it was great.
I don't know how 2 differs other than a new story.

I want to play both just to relive the good ol' D&D Days. I've seen quite a bit about the first one; I think I might like it more.

From what I understand, Neverwinter Nights 2 just has more DnD resources like monsters and whatnot, better graphics, more spells n shiz, and Mask of the Betrayer, which many people hail as one of the greatest RPG's in recent-ish gaming history.

I mostly bought it to try out persistent worlds/role play. Pretty good for that.

I've died like six times in Mask of the Betrayer because it's just me and my roommate, and we're apparently terrible at everything. Also I keep turning pausing off, so combat is basically the same as DnD combat, except you have to make split-second decisions.

I just downloaded NWN2 because I was jonesing for DnD3.5. Also I played Baldur's Gate waayyyyy back in the day so it feels pretty nostalgic. I got a couple of extra campaigns installed but so far I'm really just working through the first.

Is there any way to get the official expansions working on the Mac?

Just won a bid on evilbay to get the original NWN Platinum Edition. Can't wait to see how it is...

We should all try to co-op one of the campaigns. I've found that two people can't do Mask of the Betrayer very well...perhaps 3+ can?

As I mentioned above, my research seems to indicate that there's no way to get Mask of the Betrayer and the other official expansion to run natively on the Mac (and I'm not setting up a partition).
