I can't imagine why I would want to do more in the open than necessary.

Here are the supplies and money of everyone. (I'm keeping your inventories updated in the OP as well if you want to check something.)

Saucix: No food rations, 124 gp (100 from the church of Päkkaan)

Gerald: 2 weeks of food rations, 20 gp

Gregor: 3 weeks of food rations, 54 gp

Nisos: 1 weeks of food rations, 1 week of fishgrub rations, 142 gp

Adarim: 2 weeks of food rations, 75 gp

How many weeks of rations do you want to buy, if any? Or anything else?

Shit, sorry, I missed that. Ok, Adarim has 58 gp and Saucix has 109 after going shopping.

So as night falls you retire to The Old Bear, paying one gold piece each for your rooms.

That is when you hear screams and shouts of fear from outside.

I'll grab a weapon and peek outside through the window, careful not to expose myself.

You see townspeople in the street looking and pointing towards something in the sky, you can't see what from indoors. They look terrified.

Snow? Check. People pointing at the sky? Check.

Are you really going to go there? Really?
Also, vacation for a week. FYI.

I have no idea what you're talking about. For real this time. Are you going to go out and look before vacation?

I mean I, mgb, may or may not be able to send orders for a week. But yes, go out and see what they're pointing at.
And I was simply pointing out similarities to Skryim so you could confirm or deny (or ignore) my suspicions.
