we do not attack the goblin camp full of motherfuckers. Attacking now would be a really bad idea. We're outnumbered, it's dark, we have no cover, "and the glorious sun isn't even out."

I suggest we pass by quietly and just go to the temple thing. "I know I'm usually the one pressing for violence, but I prefer to engage in fights we can actually WIN."

You give the goblin camp a wide berth, and go north leaving it behind you. Are you going to make camp yourselves, or continue travelling during the night?

It is hard to find a suitable site in the dark, but you stumble into a bunch of trees and set up camp as well you can. (I'm going to assume you keep guard watches without saying it whenever you sleep, but tell me if you want to do something extra like pouring oil on the ground.)

You wake up to a clear sky. No goblins in sight.

Gregor scouts ahead and reaches the stone door. The snow outside is a complete mess of goblin and wolf footprints. The tracks seem to come from the east and leave southwards. They do not seem very fresh.

You make your way through the stone corridors, noticing a couple burnt-out campfires, and piles of gnawed bones and other thrash. You reach the inner room with the pit. The orbs are still in their slots, and the pit is still open.
