Saucix swings his sword at the skeleton attacking Logan.

Rolled Melee 13+1 vs AC, rolled 5+1 damage

He smashes its ribcage apart and the whole skeleton collapses.

Gerald brings down his sword on the neck of the skeleton futilely biting him.

Rolled Melee 7+2+1 vs AC

The skeleton gives up at the last moment and Gerald's sword cuts only air.

Gregor searches for an opening to make a quick and safe stab past Gerald at the same skeleton.

Rolled Melee 3-2 vs AC

He finds no opening.

Seeing how shield bashes are so effective, Adarim makes another.

Rolled Melee 18+1 vs AC, rolled 2 damage

This attack is not quite as devastating, but the skeleton breaks a few bones at least.

Logan catches the bracelet-wearing skeleton's head in his jaws, and bites down with a crunch. The headless skeleton takes a few confused steps before collapsing.

The last skeleton tries to bite Adarim, but it gets to chew only on his shield.

Adarim makes use of his sword this time around.

Rolled Melee 12+1 vs AC, rolled 4 damage

The blade finds the skeleton's neck, the skull flies off, and the rest of the bones collapse.

Gerald steps forward and picks up the two golden bracelets. They are of average size and would fit on any normal-sized wrist. Each consists of a series of miniature women giving birth to each other, elves on one bracelet and goblins on the other. There are no other markings or suchlike on them.

As Gerald turns around and comes out of the room after picking up the bracelets, his gaze falls on Gregor... and he sees something very odd. Gregor is standing in the light of Gerald's torch, but casts no shadow.

Ye gods. At least I don't have two. At least I don't have two.

Seriously, though, do I notice this?

You do now that Gerald pointed it out.

The last time any of you is absolutely sure Gregor had a shadow is when you were leaving the cave of the fat beasts. You're not sure at what point he lost it since then.

Unless anyone wants to stop me, I'm wearing the bracelets.

Does gregor feel any different? How bad is Logan hurt? I say we move on since we're competing for loot here.

If there is no immediate explanation, I'll continue on. Sufficiently freaked the fuck out, of course.

Gerald puts on the bracelets.

Logan has a nasty wound but is still in fighting shape.

Gregor feels no different, other than the natural freaked-the-fuck-out feeling.

Where to next?

You go into the south tunnel. It soon turns east, and after a long while turns north again, ending in a cave with two metal doors on the western wall. The northern one is a regular door, but the southern one is another heavy door with a fist-sized hole instead of a keyhole.
