Armor+using cover+VATS+aiming well outside of VATS pretty much makes the game weaksauce.

I, for one, welcome the cadazores!
True enough in some ways, but if on the other hand your character doesn't wear armour hardly at all and tends to try picking Super Mutant's pockets the game can get very exciting indeed.

Playing as a Ghoul is perhaps the most interesting of all, - moreso since radiation is healing rather than being a problem. I'm playing as a Raider at the moment which turns the whole game on its head. Go shoot up Megaton and then hangout with your good buddies down at the school and the shopping mall.

Madness.

I play a game once and then put it away if it has no multiplayer.

Mulltiplayer games drive me bananas to tell the truth.

I like to replay games using differing kinds of characters from a variety of backgrounds with different strengths and weaknesses. I like to try a range of different strategies too so I don't play a game the same way twice.

It took a little while, but I got everything back running the way I like it with Fallout3. I decided to play as a ghoul woman refugee, but I didn't resurrect Jet this time around, I created a new character and named her 'Marie Jordan'. I'm back with the Death Corps gear again coz I like it.

Sometimes it's good just to tag along with the traders when a girl is tired and fed up with getting into fights.

The girl herself, - she's a real looker isn't she?

Yes true enough, - I needed to get Marie back to Megaton from Rivet City and she didn't have any caps, was low on ammo and was pretty much exhausted. Then along came the traders so she just followed along with them. Not the most brilliant conversationalists though.

Do you not use quick travel?

Na, that always seemed like cheating to me.

Besides she got to pick up some neat loot along the way from the bad guys the caravan guards shot.

Ah, I always spend a lot of time doing random things while exploring, so to save time, not life, I quick travel. I lose interest in games pretty easily, so the less time I can cut doing stuff without much gain, the better.

Same with me.

Caravan guards are pretty weak, man. I find that they die off really fast if you don't use the console to give em armor and miniguns.

On quick travel: Less time walking, more time shooting. Win.

Ha ha, - I'm too much of a tourist for my own good.

Have any of you tried out the rideable motorcycle mod? That's the best way to fast travel :D

I tried it, it's pretty crappy :\

Fallout engine isn't made to handle vehicles, modders have to use gimmicks like using a motorcycle-shaped armor that makes you run really fast, a furniture that can be controlled by the player, or gluing your skeleton to models. The hoverboard mod is alright, as is the vertibird, but the latter is plagued with bugs and the like.

C'mooon, its a fucking helicopter in Fallout.

Ah, when Skryim comes the first thing I'm going to do is remodel that horse into a mightyfine Aprilla Mana.

Quick Travel? Screw it. I'm immersed in the game, that just gets jarring.

Well out of the five guards on that caravan one had a minigun and the other had a flame thrower. They were doing pretty reasonably Ok on that run to Megaton.

More time walking the more interesting stuff you find
