I just downloaded the AlephOne version for mac. I know there have been references to it, so some of you must have played it. I didn't have a clue what it was all about, although it made me laugh for some reason. But for you lot who haven't played it, get it here:

It is the prequel to Halo. It's obvious from the UESC, Terminals, the armour...

Oh and get the Rubicon mod! And the hi-res textures are a must, unless you like oldschool retro gaming.

Actually, Marathon was only made by the same people who made Halo. I know that the story takes place something like a thousand years after the year listed in Halo

Three hundred. And The marathon man is an achievement in halo. And there are marathon terminals in halo. And there is the same sort of weapons as in halo, as well as both games have AI. Many shapes in halo are actually the marathon symbol, eg 343 Guilty Spark (the monitor) has it.
It's an unofficial halo, of sorts.

Anyway, what did any of you think?
