October 21st, 2011.
The world ends today.
You gaze over the smoke-filled horizon of St. Louis, from your twentieth story balcony on the downtown Hilton Hotel. The TV blares behind you, warning the Central US area that an immensely virulent virus has developed in the little town of Farmington, Missouri. Coming in contact with the virus will cause the infected to become a bloodthirsty monster, devoid of upper-level mental functions. The announcer warns you to stay where you are and the military will soon be by to pick you up.
You wince as a solitary helicopter spirals lazily past your window and crashes full-bore into the metal side of the 300 foot tall St. Louis Arch. A groan of twisted metal reaches your ears as the collision burns. It does not fall. The others in the room look out the window.
You and the others have come to town for the first tournament of Brikwars, Ragnoblok, which was scheduled to begin tommorrow at Ross Varn's place, but as distant screams reach you from the ground, it looks like that isn't happening...
To create a character, you have three ability types.Aph77, on the first RTD wrote:Roll To Dodge Standard Rules
The GM (Game Master) posts a situation the players are in. The players then post their actions, according to the conditions GM sets. The GM then rolls for the actions' results, and writes them out in his post. Then the players post actions again, ad infinitum.
The action results are defined by a six-sided die roll:
[1]: Epic Fail. Your efforts only worsened your situation.
[2]: Fail. Your skills or luck were insufficient.
[3]: Meager success: The situation didn't improve by as much as you have intended.
[4]: Success: Your efforts were sufficient to achieve your goal.
[5]: Epic Success: Your skills and luck have combined to ensure your success.
[6]: Overshot: Your efforts were more than required for the goal's completion, and your luck is such that unfortunate side-effects are inevitable.
If at any time something threatens a player, that player may make a roll to dodge the threat.
Baddassery [strength]
Luck [intelligence]
Kinkyness [dexterity]
Buffitude [health points]
Assign 5 points among these slots. They start at 0.
Boosting a stat means that you have experience in situations that the roll calls for, allowing you to adjust the roll more to your liking.
0 will move the result 1 away from 4. 1-2 will move it 1 toward 4. 3-4 will move it 2 towards 4. All these are true except if it is a 6.
Your name? Your own. Your equipment? List three things that you don't leave the house without, and list a weapon that you have access to.
Stat Sheet-
There are four slots open. There is a plot and a map this time, never fear, and I won't be rolling for commands like 'go north'. Sign up and we can get this show on the road.Name: _

Once someone dies, there are Brikwarriors all over this town, trapped in various predicaments. Submit your stat sheet once a slot opens up.
Also, going three days without posting means that although your character followed along with the group, he went certifiably insane and started calling himself by a different name. This counts as a death, so submit in this case as well.
