The grid map is flawed, it is 7x7 and I can't figure out the criteria for placement because X=6 system is located on X=7, X=5 located on X=4,...

Why not simply remove the star dots from the old map and put the shiny new box faction things over controlled systems?

Right, I'll just make that reference chart then...

And the free bit was a starting build thing. Barracks have to be built in order to build other things on the planet, as I said previously, so it's a freebie to start, sorry. They're 20CP apiece.

I think there was a thread when we were getting started on it last year. We worked on it more the other night, so it's getting pretty fleshed out. I ought to scan the really poorly drawn star map I made.

Does my planet have a Barracks on it yet? If not, build one, and move a Dropship over to 1,1 and build one there too with the next round's money.
