We are getting cert points (roughly) every 30-45 seconds... i logged off for 24 minutes to watch an episode of Code Geass, and came back on to 220 Cert points.

EDIT:
Higby wrote: Hey all -

As some of you have fondly noted, the cost for certain certs in the game are a bit out of whack right now. We're in the middle of a big certification rebalance which will be up on beta with next week's push. This will affect cert prices as well as cert point accumulation rates.

With tonight's patch we will be re-enabling passive cert point gain and for the next week we will be cranking the rate of the gain up quite a bit. We're doing this so that we can test a lot of the higher level certs which are impossible to acquire right now with the current costs and cert point acquisition rates. I want to be clear that this weeks passive cert point rate is ABSOLUTELY NOT indicative of our final rate, it's juiced way up.

Now for the painful part - with next week's patch and certification point rebalance we will be doing a character wipe. Next week's patch is going to be really exciting, we'll be adding Esamir to the game as well as ungating almost all of the remaining certs and solidifying cert point costs across the board. So this week, enjoy the fast cert point gain, try out lots of certs and let us know what works well, what works too well, and what doesn't work at all.

Looking forward to seeing your feedback and finally getting that Nanoweave armor...

I love the really small 156k updates that take 10 minutes and practically lock up your browser.

So, my outfit was supposed to have a reporter dood from Planetside TV rolling with them last night, but from what I heard, they kind of did terrible. We have far too many new members, so everything is chaos right now. :(

Sad stuff.

How bout that fight across the bridge from TI Alloys last night, though?

Haven't been able to get in since the update because they have only 2 servers up.
Which is great for hammering the servers login feature, not so much for actually being in.

Patience, if you wait long enough at the server select screen there will be an opening, and once you create a character you should be able to log in at any time.

Well I've got a spare Beta Key lying around if you're up for it...

...But they're fucking up the game anyways, so I certainly wouldn't buy an "Alpha Squad" package at this point...

The game is really fun with groups. The game rewards teamwork and a group specializing in one particular form of combat. For example, the MI is going to start focusing on Air Assault/Landing. The game's F2P system is also really good- Weapons are balanced quite nicely(No, shut up white eagle, they are, i didn't say it was perfect.) Weapons are either bought with experience or station points(bought with real world cash), Meaning anybody has access to the weapons, it's just that if you sink cash into the game, you get guns faster- but that doesn't give you an automatic superiority over everybody else- you still need skill to fight well, much like CS:GO or TF2.

However, there are some flaws with the game design.

While the Alpha and Early Beta were very good looking with the graphics, the graphics have been compromised slightly to improve frame rates, but the frame rates will still dip into the low 30s during major combats.
