Almost Thirty is a bullshit age. You are officially old enough to start thinking "I'm too old for this" or "what they hell are those (male) kids wearing tight pants and pink shirts for" or what do you mean you never heard/played/went to/wanted to be X?"

And yet, you're not actually that old yet, as the Almost Forties and Almost Fifties will tell you. So they mock your lamentations and move on along to their grievances (as above, but you probably haven't heard of X, or played Y, or went to Z which makes it worse).

Give me retirement age, senility, and all the crotchetyness that comes with it. I'm ready.
