I do believe I was to be taken by Miss Albelworth down the road. She does so enjoy those races. Do you mind if I borrow your handkerchief for a moment, my monocle was smeared on the way here by some imbecile with a bad spelling habit and a name with an odd addition sign in th middle.

I believe it's a symbol used in the manner of ensmitten juveniles carving their heart-encircled initials into the trunk of a tree: "MR + WN," for example. In the case of the particular individual under discussion here, I believe the first name refers to himself, while the second refers to an unspecified member of his immediate family.

(Either that, or he typoed his email address the first time he tried to register and had to set up a second addition-symboled account in order to try again.)
