Draklon Raiders (Silent-Sigfig):
The Draklon forces rolled initiative for the turn. The villagers were second, so naturally the Frostborne warriors were last.
A bunch of Draklon soldiers move up while most of the tougher units stay behind, waiting for the gunts to make an opening in the Frostborne defenses.
The archers move up as far as they can for the turn and try shoot at the opposing archers behind the barricades. They’re JUST out of range, but firing blind here proved to help very little, as the villagers were behind pretty decent cover.
A spearman breaks formation and starts climbing the nearest pine tree.
He makes to the top and looks pretty happy about it.
Lucer trudged toward the same pine tree, glaring at it and all it’s sticky, prickliness.
He then decides to start beating the crap out of it, slashing and swinging with his greatsword. "Fuck trees!"
The results were pretty obvious.
Lucer: 1
Tree: 0
The spearman lunges forward, aiming his spear at one of the Frostborne Warriors.
*SMACK!*
But he finds he just out of reach.
"Man that's awkward," observes one of the Frostborne troops.
"Yeah," agrees the other.
He collapses from the barricade, disrupted.
Frostborne Villagers (Sir Sporktimus):
Haldor steps forward toward a pine tree and with a grim smile under his wild beard, he lifts his hammer and winds it up--
--And uses his heroic feat to knock the tree to the ground with a mighty blow of his hammer!
“Go on lads!” He exclaimed, and his crew of hearty villagers scrambled forward to use the fallen tree as cover, but don’t quite have enough move to make it all the way (forgot to take a picture of that bit).
The archers stationed at the barricades await any of the Draklon forces to wander into the range of their longbows. When one of them does, they attempt a two-man volley.
One misses completely (crit fail), and the other manages to strike his target, taking down an archer on the opposite shore and claiming First Blood.
Frostborne Warriors (Dienekes22):
The two swordsman at the bridge move up toward the barricade with Farcus right behind them.
The rest of Farcus’ men split and move up to take cover behind the barricades, two moving behind each one.
Farcus raises his shield and grips his sword, ready to jump in and defend himself and his warriors when the need comes. The two warriors ahead of them unequip their swords in favor of their spears.
The rest of the warriors follow suit, drawing their spears and getting ready.
The two icebreakers at the gates get an idea. After a good amount of fudging on my end, they drop their weapons and shields and combine efforts in pushing the wagon in front of the stockade gates. They did however use up most of their move just getting around the wagon, and will have to wait till next turn to move it any further.
