The Greater Good - Finally Finale

Postby Sir Sporktimus » Sun Sep 06, 2015 9:45 pm

At Long Last, the end has come for the first clash between Blue Heliad and the Victorious Adygean Star Soldiery!

As a note, this turn consists of the final two, abbreviated - the time had to come to either end the battle prematurely, or finish it - I don't think there were orders from all players, even, but at this point there were only a handful of units left alive. So without further ado, the end of The Greater Good.

Corbin Silversun's Regiment: Redrover

Image

Corbin pulls himself out of the river, shaking his helmet. "Ugh.. it's time to end this.."

Image

He crawls up through the castle walls, emerging again into the area where the final forces have gathered. Fire and the smell of victory close at hand drift in the wind as he raises his fallen brother's Blastgun, letting off a mighty warning blast. Aghzad the Un-Undead Mystic King looks up, fear and anger in his yellowed eyes.

Image

Meanwhile, the last useful soldier under Corbin's command guns his Arion forwards, bringing its small but effective cannon towards the center of the firestorm with magnificent speed.

Captain Lance Amadeus Silversun's Regiment: Valiant

Image

Out away from the center of the battle, in the lumbering husk of the warmongering Thunderpig, Lance's closest friend sits, finally given the time to mourn the loss of his leader, his captain, his brother in arms. But the sorrow is replaced in an instant by a far more fitting sentiment for any minifig - pure, violent rage. Adygea would pay. They would pay with their lives. With a roar lost in the blaze of the surrounding wreckage, he gunned the Thunderpig's mighty engine, driving it up the corpses of the fallen - and aiming all its weaponry at the VASS-1 Iron Razor!

Image

With a magnificent flume of fire and shattering Transparent Green Ore, the Razor is broken, collapsing in a ball of fire to thunder against the earth. The Victorious Adygean Star Soldiery has been Eliminated!

Image

The pilot of the MW-1 Daedalus, witnessing the mighty fall of the Razor, turns his attention towards the one target left on the board - King Aghzad the Un-Undead himself. He opens fire with a heavy blast from his cannon, but the former lich king lifts his ancient shield, shouting primeval mantras - "ASPARAGUSTUS! BROCCOLUS! GRASSIA FERNIFEROUS!" and the power of Transparent Green courses through his shield, saving his once-removed life from the blaze of the Daedalus' wrath.

Agzhad the Un-Undead Mystic King: Zupponn

Image

"Foolish children of this strange age - do you really hope to best the great and powerful Agzhad?" The king mutters as he gestures with his sword, green energies spiraling from the ground to lift the great circular saw of the Iron Razor from the wreckage. Turning towards the Daedalus, he winds back..

and throws!

The spinning blades tear through the MW-1 Daedalus and its pilot, causing the bisected war machine to crumple backwards lifelessly in a puff of flame!

Corbin Silversun's Regiment: Redrover

Image

"Go back to being dead, you son of a mummy!" Corbin roars, and lets loose with a massive blast!

Image

The King lunged for Corbin with a vicious shriek, but his ancient claw faltered as the blast of energy hit - and the undead king was incinerated in a massive wave of overkill damage and a single remarkably poor armor roll.

Corbin Silversun's Regiment (Redrover) is victorious!

An Overwatch of the carnage:

Alright! That should wrap it up for now! Things are a bit stowed for the moment, so I don't have an epilogue ready, but it's likely the story will continue sometime in the near future! Thanks everyone for participating!

I enjoyed this battle very much. I'd like to see, where this story might be going in the future.
