The Cruiser does remind me that I want to add a more specific rule for the turning rate of very large vehicles:

For any vehicle whose size is greater than its movement (or maybe just any large vehicle in general), it doesn't get to turn to and fro as it pleases - instead, to turn it, you grab either the nose or the tail and have to spend movement inches to move that part to the left or right.

I just gave it a 45° limit. :|

As for its move, if it were real it would have easily been able to cross the whole field in a turn, but for sake of sanity I limited it so that it could only travel its length in one turn.

I like that idea. My own rules for turn radius just say "movement that turn divided by six" and that when turning ninety degrees a vehicle moves a distance equal to the radius of its turn.

Of all the online BrikWars matches, I must say I loved your battle the most NatalyaAF!

As I'm planning on setting up my own online BrikWar someday in the near future, how exactly did you manage the turn orders and everything? Was it hard? Did you ever fudge the dice roles?

As if we care. More explosives!

What I've seen work out the best for online battles is to give more "general orders" than specific turns. Pesgores and Natalya did theirs the best, IMO. Instead of having each player work out how they attack per turn, have them PM to you vaguer, more general orders that you relay to their troops, that will occupy them over the next 3-4 turns. That way, nobody has to really pay attention to stats other than you, although it's just common sense to tell players about larger weapons (whether it's explosive or not etc.), and other "unusual" aspects.

It also helps to have a good camera eye. Follow all standard lego-photography rules (Macro mode, tripod or tripod substitute, good light), but leave at least a few pictures that show the entire field at different angles (top down is a lifesaver). Sometimes with orders, people will MS paint arrows showing which units should go where, and who should attack what.

...and it worked really fine.

I dug around on Photofuckit but I couldn't find those pictures. I only found pics for the preview and turn 1.

So one of the greatest forum battles ever has now been lost forever?

Does the Wayback Machine still display the pictures?

They should still be up? I didn't delete its thread. Back in the past we were calling it Day 1, Day 2, etc instead of Turn 1, Turn 2, or whatever. Death War was the second forum battle so like that's why it's got Day in it. Just look for the Day 1 thread. We were also calling them Projects back then too. I blame Pegosaurus and his sometimes-strange English.
