This is a battle for three teams.
The Rogues (escape in the spaceship): Scratch
The Guards (throw out all hooligans): Falk
The Space Pirates(steal the data cube and kill the rogues): theblackdog

Image

The Rogues are a Heroic Team, meaning they have one heroic feat per round that any one of them can take, as befits their team role, or that can be used together as a team.
Image

The Guards have a Base Commander with the Commander specialty. He will automatically collect strategy bricks until the player requests that they be used.

The Space Pirates have Rexx Coltoran as their Hero.

Probably because Wednesday is the slowest day on the forum...

Side note, this battle is non-Kanon, so I won't fudge any rolls to fit the story or give anyone plot armor.

Ghent attempts to hack the truck so Luke can drive it remotely.
Ghent: "It only supports Apple Carplay but I only have Android systems."
Luke: "I actually only know how to drive spaceships."
[Feat Failed!]

Carde and Rick go to the bunker door and start shooting guards.

Rick lands a solid overkill with his rifle, but Carde's tommy gun proves ineffective after range and cover penalties.

This pilot goes and picks up some pistols from a box inside the ship.

This one goes to activate the ship's systems, Cosmic Cola in hand. Wait a minute... what's that?

Oh, looks like I left some pilots behind after the last forum battle. Uh... Secret Reinforcements unlocked! The ship begins booting up. Guns activate next turn, Engines the turn after that.

These guards load up the truck.

Get in the back, loser!

They drive toward the pirates, but the guard in the back flubs his damage roll.

The pirates respond viciously.

This guy sprints toward the turret.

The tower gun shoots at Rick but his d8 armor is just enough to survive.

The freighter's crew finds two thermal detonators and an airtank.

The two guards who were with the Base Commander spring out from the other side of the ship. "Surprise, Motherfuckers!"

I let the Pirates go first starting this round, since I kind of gave them the shaft so far.

Rexx: Step aside, Starkey. Pay attention and you might learn a thing or two about space piracy.

Quietly and swiftly, Rexx slashes the remaining guard's neck, killing him.

Casting the body aside, Rexx enters the freighter.

Rexx: Hello, gentlemen. If you know what's good for you, you'll step aside from the controls.

Starkey holds the pilots at swordpoint as Rexx settles into his new chair.
Rexx: Take care of our new friends, Starkey.

Pilot: You won't get away with this, slimy pirates!

Crewman: Did you hear something? [Feat succeeded!]

Ghent sits down to do some soothing hacking.

The turret's controls explode into sparks. [Partial success!]

Luke and Rick both do not kill this guy.

Carde moves up with the team and shoots uselessly at the base commander. In hindsight, I probably should have interpreted Scratch's orders differently.

The truck moves up and shoots at Carde (didn't get a good picture of it) but Carde matches the attack roll with armor, die for die.

The crewmen shoot at Starkey.

Both hit. Looks like he didn't get away with it, after all.

I rushed the turn this morning so we're short on pictures and fluff.

Rexx attempts to fly upward with the freighter, dumping all the crew and dead bodies out the butt hatch. He discovers that he can't do that since he's in the gunner's seat. [Feat failed!] Instead, he shoots the rogues with the top turret.

He blows Rick and Luke away. :cry: Press F to pay respect to the OG's.

Ghent grabs the the datacube and Luke's gun and sprints to relative cover.

Carde peppers the truck with bullets.

It disintegrates in a fiery explosion that kills the two guards inside. [Critical Success!]

The Base Commander calls in three points of reinforcements - Wampa McFuckhands and his handler, the beastmaster.

Foolhardy and fresh out of the oven, they move toward Carde. The wampa fires a grenade but it misses.

Carde lays down arc fire as Ghent boards the freighter.

Ghent finds a console in the cargo bay and hacks the doors.

Carde jumps into the freighter as Ghent seals the bay door shut.

The doors under his control, Ghent smacks the other trooper with the side door, snapping off his head. [Feat Critically Succeeds!]

The beastmasters and Wampa McFuckhands loiter outside the freighter, unsure what to do.

The base commander and the freighter crew shoot at Ghent.

Hopped up on Cosmic Cola, the other crewman grabs the pirate swords and rushes Carde.

Carde responds by kicking a fuel barrel into the air at the guards.

The barrel prematurely explodes in midair.

The blast knocks Carde against the bay door. He is unharmed but disrupted.

The Base Commander picks up the datacube while the crewman holds Carde at gunpoint. "Looks like these shenanigans are over. Restrain this one and take him to a cell!"

Wampa McFuckhands carries him to the bunker door.

As they enter the prison, Carde begins to laugh maniacally. "This isn't the last you'll see of me! I'll kill you all!"
