Marius was a decidedly average planet. nothing truly remarkable or peculiar had ever happened on it.
The civilization was just about at the end of the continental colonization stage, when something peculiar did happen. A massive spaceship the size of a continent crash-landed on their planet. While this event is not peculiar under normal circumstances, this one was slightly different. This ship's technology was on the same path as that of Marius' ,only several thousand years ahead on the technology scale. The ship itself fractured all over the globe upon impact, and wherever pieces landed, nations, religions, and all kinds of groups quickly shot up in progress. Now, Marius' civilization boomed unlike anything before.
This single act of Fate had changed things forever.

Now, 1,300 years later, wars have ravaged this sector. Religion has fought nation. Nation has fought Buisiness. For a long time, the sector was so savagely divided, a single crossed boundary could bring about the death of thousands. But now, as the last war between the Order of Techknights, and The Collective of Ultra-Human subsides, an alliance shall finally be forged. An alliance to band together to stay alive in the rapidly increasing storm of the universe outside their borders. But as this alliance comes to fruition, something unexpected happens. An enemy, thought long dead, shall resurface. Only together, can these shattered factions hope to survive a threat so great that Death gives himself in service to it's cause.

Carver the Red (Trioric Empire) : Thank you all for attending this meeting. It must be said, I did not believe myself that any of you would come to this. But here you are.

Templar Anderson (Order of Techknights) : It is both an honor and a blessing to be able to take part in such a momentous decision.
Captain Lestrade (Pirate; Captain): You all know who I am, of course. All the "Wanted" posters for me and my fleet. It's rather flattering.

CtR: You have all heard the rumors. The Trioric Empire is looking to form an alliance. Not an alliance against one of you, but with all of you. We have looked beyond our sector. Far beyond. We do not dare continue our petty wars with such dangers of this Immortal War looming. Empires vastly outnumbering ours could crush or inslave us all in an instant, broken. Together, however, we stand a chance. We have nothing to offer you for joining us but what protection together we can offer. I only hope that you will make the right choice.

TA: The Order is with you, if this is what you wish.

DC: The Alternates are prepared to lend their guns to this cause, provided payment is sufficient.

O14T: Annihilation benefits none of us. The Collective will be allied with you all.

CL: The universe...untold riches... My crew is yours, gentlemen.

CtR: Then it is settled. So marks the creation of The Alliance of
