But there is two of them. Which, according to my house rules, means: one action to shoot a the same target, roll twice for use and damage.Colette wrote:Oh, it's only a size 7 main gun. *wipes off sweat*
Edit: that house rule is called "twin linked"

That's what I do as well I don't add the damage up though, that's kinda important.

Yes, but i still wonder what is the possible use of it? Instead of playing like an anorak of course.Bragallot wrote:Then don't use it?

I don't really know, I've always just been of the opinion that the differing damage rolls represents 'hitting weak spots' well enough, after all steel is steel and a bullet is a bullet. If you shoot a gun at the same spot of a tank 100 times it'll always have the same effect.

But that effect will eventually start to take its toll on the tank, right?Bragallot wrote:I don't really know, I've always just been of the opinion that the differing damage rolls represents 'hitting weak spots' well enough, after all steel is steel and a bullet is a bullet. Re: Briktopian "Vindicator" Super Heavy Death Tank
Okay if going with using only things I already have to fight this thing and if I don't use the AC or the Venus, then here is my strategy...
Zerg Rush with all my dudes. I have like 100 Assyrians. It has some good anti-infantry, but not that good. Death Bikes and Star Commandos try to land on the top of it and hack away at it from up there. My Super Tank engages it directly. If the turret gets blown off or whatever, just kamikaze right into it, preferably from the side to bust some of the tank treads. The White Widow can try to focus fire on the main weaponry, then if the treads get disabled by the Vanquisher's kamikaze run the White Widow can try to climb up on it and rip open the turret or something. My Dreadnought and Jaguar variant will just support my infantry in generalized attacks. Most of my guys would die, but I think I have enough Assyrians to come out on top.
If I was using my Czech-Republikans then I would try kamikaze runs with all of their air craft. 3 fighters plus the transport at full speed should mess it up pretty badly, especially since the fighters come with some missiles. They would try to go for the treads and the main turret. Everyone else would assault it from the back, combining fire on the rear door. Rocket-launcher troops would take out the Prowler and then flamethrower troops would try to barbeque everyone inside. because I have fewer Czechs they probably wouldn't win unless the kamikaze runs by the CSR aircraft were successful.
I guess with massive creations like this they can never truly be invincible against a large enough force, but the more powerful they are then the more effort opponents have to put into defeating them which therefore makes them ignore other parts of the army. They do however make themselves targets for other super weapons. For example, if the Venus was ever in a battle with something massive like this, all it would have to do is fire the Hyper Phase Cannon (which is a size 10 weapon) two or maybe three times to disable the target.

I never said 'in succession'. But we do have grinding rules for what you're talking about.Zupponn wrote:But that effect will eventually start to take its toll on the tank, right?Bragallot wrote:I don't really know, I've always just been of the opinion that the differing damage rolls represents 'hitting weak spots' well enough, after all steel is steel and a bullet is a bullet. Its original gun, the Karasawa was like a size 12 I think. I can't remember. Here is a picture, someone can remake it and get an accurate measurement.

It's 'original' gun? Does that mean you built an even bigger one?

Irresolvable weight issues forced Natalya to go smaller.Bragallot wrote:

An Armored Core bazooka or gatling gun would be a great idea, though...
Re: Briktopian "Vindicator" Super Heavy Death Tank
You mean, all it would have to do is hit with the HPC. What's the Use on a size 10 weapon? How often can it fire if you have to spend a bunch of time aiming to have any chance to hit anything? What if the SHDT is firing back at you?Natalya wrote:all it would have to do is fire the Hyper Phase Cannon (which is a size 10 weapon) two or maybe three times to disable the target.

On a semi-related note, I should make my own fantasy gundam sometimes, using the AC design.
