The Trion Empire

Following the death of Kaiser Alec, a power vacuum was created in the Republic of Independent Nations. Inter-faction fighting led to a splintering of the one-time power, and a disappearance of all public relations and outbound communications from it's home planet of Trion.

It was only after the man once known as "The Man in the Top Hat" revealed himself to be Alec II, son of the former Kaiser, that the warring factions of Trion were once again united, and ready to take on the brikverse as a whole.

FAST ATTACK-

Image
The Trion Empire's current military doctrine is a combination of fast attack and heavy support.
Pictured here is a squadron of J-03 Hoverbikes headed up by Alec II.
J-03 hoverbikes come equipped with a laser repeater mounted on the side and a missile mounted underneath.

Image
Providing mobile fire support for the fast attack wing, the J-10 Speeder bears a heavy laser repeater on a turret and a pair of forward-facing missiles.

The J-10 Speeder's cousin, the J-12b Assault Speeder, is capable of carrying a small amount of infantry into battle as well as bearing a compliment of weapons. http://brikwars.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=15768

Image
Another cousin of the J-10, the J-11 cargo speeder provides primarily a utility role, with it's spacious cargo bed. It is often equipped with a small machine gun, due to the prevalence of slave revolts on Trion-controlled mining planets, where the J-11 is most commonly employed.

HEAVY SUPPORT-

Image
The second wing of this new military doctrine is, of course, the heavy support.
Pictured here is a DN-5 Dreadnut, which carries inside it the life-supported body of a veteran pilot from the days of the RIN.
DN-5 Dreadnuts carry a quad-barreled rotary cannon, smoke launchers, and a heavy claw with a flamethrower.

Where heavy vehicles simply cannot tread, the LS-8 "Punisher" provides support to ground infantry.
Outfitted with a single minigun in it's default configuration, different attachments are available based on the mission.

The backbone of the heavy support wing is the BT-06 Brawler.
Boasting a sabot-launching main cannon, a quadruple rocket launcher, a pintle-mount minigun, smoke launchers, and a forward-fixed flamethrower, the Brawler is well-equipped.

Image
Recently updated and integrated into the Trion arsenal, the "Vallhund" drone tank is based off the Prowler tank used by the Mjolnir Coalition. Equipped with a basic cannon, the Vallhund is meant for street fighting and infantry support.

A relic from the days of the RIN, a few beat-up old LR-01 "Land Raider" Carriers find themselves in the service of the Trion Empire.
Each of these Carrier Tanks has a "personality" assigned to it by the crew, usually signified with trophies attached to the chassis.
The LR-01 carries two side-mounted laser cannons on swivels, a top mounted quadruple rocket launcher and pintle-mount machine gun, as well as a forward-mounted double minigun.

INFANTRY-

Image
The LR-01's main purpose, however, is to carry the Trion Empire's infantry into battle.
The Edgentruppen ("Edge Troopers" in Brikverse common) are the Trion Empire's latest development, sporting state-of-the-art equipment and sleek, black battle armor.
Edgentruppen are usually organized into squads of twelve soldiers, which can be further broken up into four three-man fire teams. Each squad also has a sergeant and a heavy weapons specialist.

Little is known about the "Ubermensch". Some say it's one man as old as Trion itself, others say it's been a series of experimental super-soldiers deployed one at a time.
All we know is, he's big, he's angry, and he's got an RT axe larger than he is.

The Order of the Edge Lords is a shadowy organization that has been integrated into Trionian society.

AIR SUPPORT-

Image
Representing a significant change in military doctrine from the RIN, the Trion Empire has begun to introduce dedicated air support into it's military.
Pictured here is a FN-01 "Hummingbird" Air Superiority fighter, boasting a rotary cannon and a pair of heat-seeking missiles.
The Hummingbird's main focus is speed, resulting in a lack of tough armor plating or additional weapon systems.

Image
Providing support for infantry and vehicles on the ground, the H-02 "Vulture" helicopter proves to be a nimble, yet deadly, air vehicle.
The Vulture carries a twin-mounted minigun and two fragmentation missiles.

KOLOSSAL UNITS-

Image
A product of both teknological progress and sheer showboating, the "Omega Doom" supermecha is a product of the AN-TA war, in which the old RIN was one of the main belligerents. It's primary weapons are a pair of particle-accelerator cannons on it's right shoulder, and an array of large missile launchers on it's left. It also has a massive compliment of various other guns, because there is "never enough dakka", as quoted by one of the project leads.
Each "Omega Doom" supermecha is piloted by an interred life-supported pilot, similar to the DN-5 Dreadnut. While the situations where a supermecha is appropriate are few, the Trion Empire has greenlit the production of new Omega Doom units.

In a move to legitimize the Trion Empire as a galactik power once more, Kaiser Alec II greenlit the production of the "Jotun" super hover death tank.

I still have all of this shit to sort through, so I'll be updating the OP periodically.

Image P.S. All hail the CRATE.
A new army Overwatch picture will be taken soon-ish.

C&C is appreciated as always!

First of all, welcome back to business.

I'm digging all these vehicles, especially the hoverbikes which look p dope.
I also like how compact, yet crammed the Brawler is.

Hello everyone!

All the messages mean a lot, it's good to be back. (Going through my post history makes me die inside a bit, however.)

I updated the OP with a couple more vehicles, and more pictures of the speeder at Bann154's request.

Know the feel.

How've you been, old friend? Been far too long since we last spoke, and longer still since the glory days of Brikwater.

Oh shiiiit I forgot about the Brikwars server! So many memories.

High school basically consumed my life during my hiatus, between homework, theater, and getting a job. I'm in college now, and find myself with surprisingly more free time. I've been super active on reddit, but this place has always been my "internet home", so to speak.

How's life treated you, and what the hell has been going on here in my absence?

I matured into a fully grown German sallet, and have been granted the voluptuous sound of my purple voice.

In all seriousness, I'm now a high school senior dicking around on the internet, mainly youtube and wikipedia editing articles. Too much really has occurred, but I assure you everything is status quo ante bellum
