Order of Steel
Yo guys,
I was browsing in the archives on my machine, and I found a lot of pics of my first armyesque try, so I felt a constant urge to share it with you.
This is the order of steel; a semifuturistic army, heavily based on warhammer, steampunk and the 'vinci' race from rise of legends game.
Hope you'll enjoy these little dudes, I had quite fun with them when I massed them around 2006; but then fantasy era hit the shelves
But, 'nuff talk, moar pics:
These are the battlebrothers, heavy infantry warriors; one of them with a flamer, and the other with a storm bolter.
These guys are the nocturns. I planned them to be stealthy anti-tank units.
These guys are the Coronian Looterz (the original!). Hired as galactik mercenaries, these guys gladly chop of any for a price (these were inspired by kroot units, believe it or not).
He's the grim reaper. He is a heroic unit, a stealthy assassin (actually it's not the real reaper, just a guy dressed as one, duh).
Te order's primary hero, the Apostle, armed with a gargantuan hammer. I was quite into hammerfall that time, so the design is quite obvious...
And a mechanik, to repair stuff.
Up to the heavy supports, we have:
Assault tank. It's a tank. not much to say.
The Coronian Spig! A giant xeno mounted by a coronian who operates guns on top (inspired by the krootox).
The golem type warmech, armed with a rotating barreled autocannon. An obvious dreadnought-copy.
The Firestorm Artillery. Super-long range artillery, based on the imperial guard's basilisk.
The Hellstorm cannon. basically a BFG on wheels.
The Stinger. Fast moving walker, based on the sentinel walker.
The Coronian Warmekk. A close-combat powerhouse.
And finally, an obligatory Giant mech a.k.a. Titan. This was the ultimate unit.

Hope you likes them; I really enjoyed the pure nostalgia when stumbling upon these.

You Lie! It's not a giant mech until it's too heavy for TLC's Socket Joints!Zahru II wrote:

It's actually quite refreshing to see these mechs, brings me back to my starting days as a mech builder, Giant Fighty Robots FTW!
if I were to offer some advice, it would be to use the pin holes in the sides of the Ball'n'socket bricks to add these to them, and then flesh out the arms a bit by placing some slopes or something on them. Other than that, look'n good!
