Nice to have a dread for the Assyrians with modern build techniques.

I is disappoint that in all of your discussion of "fuck huge carriers", not a single mention was made to Dilanski's Nimitz.

That would be because I forgot about the Nimitz entirely.

Scythe, you either gotta speak up or increase the volume threshold of your mic. Seriously. I turn up my volume immensely and then Sebdoom destroys my bloody eardrums.

Anyways, I really dig the engine section. Pretty interesting to have them angled like that. The rest of the dread-carrier? I must admit - not a big fan.

'Tis a shame the pics on the OP are broken. I really do dig Scythia as a whole though.

Re-uploaded with EVEN audio - now I just need to wait a little while and I can raise dem volume levels for you fateful viewers (as my edition of cyberlink didn't want to do the job for me) . . . so yeah, watch and like peeps. Watch and like.

Whut? God-damn Imageshack. Whelp - consider those pictures officially lost to the ages.

Which is whit, because the reason why I never edited OP was due to the fact that those OP images where bigger than the current image size limit - and editing the OP to keep track of my now 35,000 views would either baleet those images or give me far to much work for one afternoon . . . hohum.

I like to think the Nimitz transcends the 'Fuck Off Big Carrier' barrier. I mean it's 2 square kilometres (that took too long to calculate) of sovereign 'merican territory, with rocket engines strapped on like Bonn-o-Tron. Fuck, It's flight decks alone have the same surface area of monaco, that's before you even start adding in non-flight decks.

Anyway, on a note of a less cocaine model. Damn scythe, I wish I had your ability to take a model from start to finish in a single sitting. Also those engines, they're aren't as awesome as the one on the Immortal cruiser you did, but they're close.

-- SCYTHIAN NAVAL CODEX --

-- PAYLOAD MK-II CLASS CIVILIAN FRIEGHTER --

Filling the endless void, the bustle of orbital yards and roaming civilian industry - one ship is almost iconic to the Scythian entrepreneur, the Payload MK-II civilian frighter.

Minimally crewed and armed with two tri-barrelled laser cannon turrets for self defence, the Payload carries twenty boon arms around its midsection on rotating arms to simulate gravity if required - these boon arms are magnetic couplers which then carry container crates full of whatever cargo needs delivering from world to world.

These load bearing slow-boats are owned both by Scythian mega-corporations and private owners alike, being the cheapest of all civilian available ships on the market.

Hurray for more civilian ships!

Hopefully we will one day have enough variety for someone to run a space pirate spacelane raid battle or something.

(Whats this? Two ships in one day!?)

-- SCYTHIAN NAVAL CODEX --

-- ASSYRIAN "LEDA" CLASS FRIEGHTER --

Image

Image

Image

Larger than its Scythian competitor, with larger engines and a higher load capacity, carrying 32 cargo containers with artificial gravity on each magnetically locked boom - the Assyrians boast that each Leda is more than capable of carrying more cargo faster and farther than the "Payload" class.

The tradeoff for this speed and capacity? The Leda is unarmed, has significantly lower hull plating, and far weaker shield's in comparison.

I love the use of Thor hammers as shipping containers.

-- FERRYMAN INTER-ORBITAL SHUTTLE --

The Ferryman is a civilian and military use shuttle with considerable room both inside the craft, and outside the craft for the re-location of supplies, people and cargo. Capable of breaking and entering orbit entirely by itself, but restricted to inter-system range due to its lack of FTL capacity, the Ferryman is a quick, reliable and well known craft throughout Scythian space.

Very nice. I'm gonna need to try making a cargo ship myself one day.
