New Egyptian Update

Post by Colonel-Kermit » Thu Sep 30, 2010 5:33 pm

This took me some time to get together because Bricklink took a long time to come in the end. But here are the updates to my army I have more or less re-don my army. This is the link to my old post if you did not see it or want to see what I changed. http://www.brikwars.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=5446

So this is just three different looks at all the army together, I thought it needed more than one perspective. Also sorry if the lighting is bad, it was night when I took these and I didn't have many lights at the time so I just used the flash.

This is the biggest edition to my army and probably the most powerful they also did not cost me that much
Image

This is now my designated leader of my army I am planing on getting him a black skeleton horse as well. He is called the 'Ash Prince'.
Image

This is a better look at one of his body guards an Anubis worrier but i still need something for the ears but I just can't get any thing to look right If any one can help please do.
Image

I have a lot of archers now but I am intending to give them bows instead of there crossbows because Egyptians did not have crossbows.
Image

This is what my normal infantry is going to look like but i need to build on them a lot more as you can see but for now they are just four random guys in my army.
Image

This is my new cavalry units they no longer have there hats and larger swords and also have a smaller shield seeing as skeletons are not a strong they cannot carry as much.
Image

This is my hero with his two special guards and his own horse nothing amazing about them but they are a nice solo unit.
Image

This is my scorer again nothing changed about him.
Image

I had all my other Fantasy armies out so I thought I might as well put take a quick picture for you guys if you want to see any closer up just say so but they are not all that impressive. Also can you spot the fail?
Image

Just a little some thing that is to come I talked about it in the earlier post if you want to know what it will be go there.

Great stuff: I love the anubis' and the swordsmen. You might want to get some headgear for the rest of the skeletons.

Very nice, I like it.
The ones I like the best are the prince's Body guards.
I would to like to see what kind of battle would happen if you went with piltogg's idea.

For the Anubis heads, I would suggest this:

The base of the head could be this
Image

One of these on each side for the ears

And these two parts on the front.

The sticker might not work with this, and the nose isn't quite as pointed as it should be, but it's the best answer I can think of at the moment for the ears.

This is really cool stuff btw, if you commit to this army it will be completely awesome, even more than it is now.

That could work really well thanks aoffan. I have another special mummy coming in the post and some more samurai, because I don't really want to make the Egyptians all powerful meaning I can't use them all so I want to build up a samurai army with a similar strength.

They're just screaming for a challenge! Where do you live?

Personally I wouldn't use sabres for infantry though. Egyptians mostly had spearmen and axemen if memory serves. Also, you could make some cool scepters for your leaders.

Ash Prince needs more customization, imo. Like the idea tho.

Hold it!

An alternate way of putting ears on the Anubis Guard:

One of these

Image

and two of these

Image

all in black, of course, with a little imagination will get you some wicked-looking ears.

Great, but the mummy would be a better leader for you. And maybe chariots?(the chariot is not so useful with the sorceror)

How can you say that?

Imagine him charging, then drifting with it, while spamming fireballs to the front ranks of enemies.
