The Hammerhead, Wingnut's first SHIP

Post by Wingnut » Mon Mar 14, 2011 12:24 pm

[backstory] Whenever the Universe is Retconstructed, a few pieces of the past are thrown out into the black void, never to be seen again. Well, mostly. Some of these lost fragments of the Universe clumped together into what has become known as the Lost Dimensions. The inhabitants of the LDs lived happily and violently, completely unaware that there was more to the Universe than their little isolated chunk. But in Retconstruction 2011, the Lost Dimensions were joined with the rest of the Universe by a strange space-time anomaly known as the Mailstorm, so called because it was as unpredictable as the postal system. Eager to explore this new frontier, the largest of the factions that ruled the LDs consolidated their power into the Organization of the Lost Dimensions (OLD), and sent forth an expeditionary force to make first contact/conflict with the inhabitants of the greater Brikwars Universe. [/backstory]

The Hammerhead is largest ship, and only SHIP in the OLD Expeditionary Force.

Weighing in at around 102 studs, the Hammerhead is just barely big enough to count as a SHIP.

The Hammerhead is modular, mostly just to help me carry it around.

The Hammerhead has two dropships to aid in ground assaults.

Each dropship has a squad of four troopers.

God damn! For a first time SHIP this is absolutely fucking awesome.

I love the front turrets, especially those tri-barrel side mounts, are those missiles or some other form of weapon? Also, any ship that is modular is absolute fucking win in my books - and the best part is, if you want to add to this beast, all you need is another module rather than building an entirely new SHIP.

So I want to see you build more modules for this fucker, ASAP because this beast is -

GOOD ENOUGH TO SKULL FUCK

I like the whole ship, but the way you added the drop ships just added to the greatness of the ship. Wonderful work. :D

Dropships, interior details, and bristling with guns! This is great!

I want to see some SHIP-to-SHIP combat. Perhaps it will happen during the proposed summer gatherings.

If everyone could bring 1 SHIP or even Sub-SHIP then that could easily happen.

HOLY SHIT.

This thing looked awesome on the outside and the interior, with not one but two complete dropships inside, blows me away. I love the weapons turrets and details on the hull as well. Amazing work all around. This is going on the wiki right now.
