Re: The Military of Trattoria
Just so my army catches up with my canon, I've updated my heavy infantry.
On the right we have an infamous Trattorian chlorine-trifluoride thrower, because why choose between a flamethrower and an acid thrower? ClF3 sets fire to everything, including concrete, asbestos, and fire extinguishers, and explosively reacts with water and organic matter to yield hydrochloric and hydrofluoric acid fumes. The container functions through a combination of a delicate metal fluoride protective film as well as a magnetic guidance system ordinarily reserved for antimatter, although a breach would result in a catastrophic fire and explosion.
On the left is a neutron howitzer (credit to TBD for the idea). Launching radiological shells and serving primarily as an anti-personnel and area denial weapon, the neutron howitzer can easily give acute radiation poisoning to all in its area of effect. It can also be used as an extreme form of "salting the earth" against both civilian and military targets, being especially effective against the former due to mass panic and hysteria.

Sweet explosive acid death, I love these guns. I may just have to steal the design. For reasons.

These look awesome, and fit really well with Trattoria's "mad science" theme. Great job on the neutron howitzer.

Now that's the sort of weaponry we want to see, although hydrazine might also work pretty well.

I like how the one on the left has a stand so he doesn't fall over.

Virgin Galactic, a subsidiary of the Trattorian Virgin Group, is proud to present the Cauchy-class private shuttle. The Cauchy was designed as a luxurious improvement over previous economical shuttle designs, to transport business executives, scientists, and government dignitaries in fitting style.
Implementing a feathered wing configuration to obviate unreliable and inconvenient heat shields, the Cauchy is equipped with a state-of-the-art navigation AI, as well as a standard FTL drive and VTOL fusion engines for orbital and planetside travel. To maximize the comfort of our passengers, these engines have cutting-edge noise-cancelling technology as well as minimal buffeting, keeping champagne glasses upright and unspilled even during atmospheric reentry.
The interior is also relatively roomy, able to seat eight in the standard configuration. Customers are free to customize the interiors of their own private shuttles.
If you are among your nation's wealthy elite, Virgin Galactic expresses hope that you consider purchasing a Cauchy starting from the affordable price of $250 million USA dollars.

Awesome, it turned out well. I'm studying the Cauchy-Riemann theorem right now.

Re: The Military of Trattoria
Due to the historically high failure rates of the Secret Service, the Trattorian military has decided to automate the protection of important dignitaries. Courtesy of the Sun Engineering Corporation, these new bodyguard robots have been built and programmed to be more efficient than their human counterparts at guarding their VIPs.
More than mere redshirts, these new droids are equipped with a miniaturized version of the shield found on the Lancelot, capable of running indefinitely thanks to a miniature antimatter power source.
Although fulfilling primarily a combat role, these bodyguards are also programmed to serve excellently in hospitality.

Re: The Military of Trattoria
Can you post a break-down of those robots? I'm especially curious about the shoulder attachment. Whenever I make fig sized robots the shoulders end up clunky but those look pretty cool.
