More Summer Builds

Postby Ben-Jammin » Tue Jun 21, 2011 6:56 am

I've been drawing and such mostly this past week, and was on vacation, so sorry I haven't posted anything new. That ends today however, with my newest set of builds

The first of my new builds: an Aerospace fighter for the Calvarians. I haven't come up with a name yet, and so far it has no weapons save for a single nose mounted machine gun. I plan on building several missiles and the like for it.

The bottom of the fighter, showing off the fuel tanks and machine gun.

I'm quite proud of this one: a post-apoc assault truck. Inspired by Metro 2033. The troop bay can carry several soldiers and their weapons.

Image

The turret; probably my favorite part of the whole build. I like the roll cage and the heavy machine gun as well.

Image

The driver. He really just wants the sniper.

Thats it for now.

Nice work.  The aerospace fighter is a particularly clean and elegant design.

Metro 2033 is awesome. Did you read the book? (or did you just play its game)

I am going to read the book, but when I went to order it at my local bookstore, it was backordered so bad that I probably won't get a copy until the end of summer. But so far I've only played the game and can't wait for the sequel...

Nice vehicles! I agree that the turret on the truck is particularly awesome.

You should read it. It's as awesome as the game.

The driver's design is very cool looking. I like the plane.

I really like the shape and look of the Aerospace Fighter. Well done.  :D

That's a nice plane, and it will be great once it's properly armed.

Post-apoc truck FTW!

Yeah, I'm trying to find some way to use it in a brikwar. It could very well go with the Chaos rebels...

No one offering ideas for aerospace fighter name?

I am kind of idea dry myself, but I'll throw a bone...

AF1 PEREGRINE

(the AF designator for Aerospace Fighter, and the one, assuming this is the first A type fighter of the Calvarian space navy?) and Peregrine is a type of falcon (which you probably already know).

Other ideas I thought were to name this after predatory fish, but nothing I could think of seemed to really snap.

Will this fighter design be available to other empires the Calvarians have dealings with?
