Father Dagon and Mother Hydra. Also fishpeople. (PIC HEAVY!)

Post by Entity001 » Tue Apr 17, 2012 2:58 am

WARNING: VERY PIC HEAVY. Also may cause insanity.
More Lovecraftian Abominations! Hooray! So who thought I couldn't do it?
First off, here's Dagon!

And the fishpeople of Innsmouth.

That should explain the body construction, if anyone's curious.

And now, Mother Hydra!
Image
I decided to go with the tail, because I couldn't come up with a sturdy leg design. The whole thing's too top heavy. If anyone has ideas, I'd love to hear them.

I can't believe I got this thing to stand on its tail..

Aaaand... this should explain the construction for Hydra.

Mother loves her children...
Constructive criticism is welcome, as always. Also, does this top my Cthulhu?

Nice stuff. Cleverly built and properly horrifying.

Schrodinger!

I like Cthulhu better, but Mother Hydra comes pretty damn close. I can see her just dragging across the floor and munching up minifigs.

I love those fish people. But no, the Cthulhu was cooler.

The Cthulhu had an advantage because it was all black parts and that helped make it look more like a single form. With these guys, especially Dagon, it's much more apparent that it's just a simple assembly of bionicle parts. He'd be helped by some more pieces to camouflage his internal structure a little bit.

I didn't think it was that scary. He's Schrodinger, the Piltogg cult boy who's a literal schrodinger's cult, from the anime Hellsing. He is everywhere and nowhere, and can be in different places, or healed of his injuries, just by thinking of it.

You have a point there. I tried to cover the front torso up with the 'armour', but I can't think of what to do for the back. His legs might need a little fleshing out, too, now that I think about it. That's if I have any green/blue parts left.

I like the design of Mother Hydra, but yeah, the colours are problematic. If you could go all one colour, or one for the frame & a second for the rest, it would help the look a lot.

Ah, these diplomats! What chatterboxes! There's only one way to shut them up - cut them down with machine guns. Bulganin, go and get me one!
