The Insterstellar Republic of Kuragin
For centuries, one force has opposed the Calvarian Empire with relentless zeal. The ISRK, or Interstellar Republic of Kuragin, is a large nation in the Brikverse devoted to the advancement of democracy and freedom. Although their past is shrouded in mystery (as they are composed of many smaller states who tell different versions of the Kuragin past) the ISRK has always sought to advance their views, and cripple those of their opponents.
EDIT: and in case you wan't to compare them to the Calvarians, here's a link to their army: http://www.brikwars.com/forums/viewtopi ... =17&t=9450
EDIT 2: How could I forget music? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oZQ0MjRR8q8 (Yeah, I know its SW, but it has that kind of cadence I'm looking for)
The whole force.
Although the Calvarians have plenty of heroes, these guys sadly have none right now. I hope to change that in the future, but for now, here are the officers. The two in the dark brown uniforms are higher-ranked, while the ones in dark tan are simple field officers. Notice the beamsabers they carry. I have also given the Calvarian officers beamsabers, for balance purposes.
Kuragin infantry. In battle, they often outnumber their Calvarian counterparts, but they are equipped with less advanced technology and are not as well trained. A favorite tactic of the Kuragin forces is to use wave tactics to overwhelm the enemy. These have met some success against the infamous Calvarian Blitzkreig tactics, but often at heavy costs. Kuragin infantry still fight with a devotion to their homeland that few enemies can hope to match however, which often causes them to fight to the death.
Despite their adoration of wave tactics, the Kuragin commanders know that every trooper counts, and for this reason they have developed a medic corps. The Kuragin forces do not share the Calvarian view of glory in combat, and this often causes them to be looked down upon by the other nations in the brikverse. In the event of an attack, the medics are armed with submachine guns.
Heavies. Typically equipped with missile launchers.
The Rangers are veteran Kuragin troops who have survived numerous engagements and proven their skill with various weapons. They often act as snipers and scouts, and are known for their ability to take out entire groups of enemy soldiers without ever being seen.
Unlike the Calvarian heavy infantry, who are genetically modified walking tanks equipped with power armor, the Kuragin heavies are simply armed with thick body armor and high-caliber weapons. This means that there are a lot more of them than the Calvarian models, as it is much cheaper to equip a small squad with advanced armor than to genetically modify them.
The ISRK is also known for their Paratroopers, a unique group of soldiers trained to drop straight into a combat zone. They tend to carry light gear so as not to lower their mobility. Instead of wearing cumbersome parachutes, the Paratroopers instead wear a set of inertia-suppression boots that, when activated, can drastically lower the event of them dying from the massive leaps they tend to make.
Kuragin Marines are basically identical to their Calvarian couterparts, except that I have much less of them at the moment. Hopefully that will change soon.
And here are some pilots. I have more, but I was too lazy to pull them out of their vehicles. These guys are just standard tank crewmen for the most part.
Lightweight jeeps such as these are often used by the ISRK for scouting operations. They are popular among Ranger groups, as well as the Paratroopers, who have discovered that they can shove several of these craft into the interior of an Archangel dropship. They lack weaponry, but can carry large weapons such as heavy machine guns and recoiless rifles.
The ISRK is well-known for utilizing existing designs throughout the Brikverse. The Initiate armored car is one example, being crafted from the famous Jaguar chassis.
The Kuragin Squire tanks are copies of the Calvarian Tempest design, which they stole from their age-old enemies.
The Footman IFV is of similar make.
The ISRK also looked at re-designing the Calvarian Flak Tempest, but one bright Kuragin engineer decided to instead strip the Flak guns in place of four deadly Mk IV missiles. Thus the Archer tank was born, a devastating craft that can annihilate both fast-moving aircraft and heavy tanks with equal efficiency.
The Bishop APC is actually and original Kuragin design. Or at least it was until the Calvarians stole the blueprints as a way to get back at the ISRK for taking the Tempest designs. Now the Bishop and the Invader (the Calvarian equivalent) are practically identical in all but faction colors.
The Crusader is the main battle tank of the ISRK, a deadly craft that can bring down even Calvarian Typhoon tanks with its main gun and tear infantry squads to shreds with their heavy machine guns.
The Paladin is a heavy tank used by the ISRK, a deadly juggernaut equipped with composite armor materials that make it impervious to all but the heaviest salvos.
The Seraphim is a deadly gunship design that can outshoot even the Calvarian Dragon. Three heavy machine guns give it significant anti-infantry firepower, while the numerous rockets and two Mk IV missiles can be used against armored targets.
The Eagle is a Kuragin aerospace fighter. Though smaller than the Calvarian Phantasm, and lacking the same heavy firepower and stealth technology, it is significantly faster.
The Archangel is a Kuragin dropship design. A tried-and-true design, the Archangel is heavily armored and can transport a great deal of troops and their weapons straight into a combat zone.
Here's a shot of the interior. It extends pretty far back, although you probably can't tell from this shot. The rear of the Archangel also has a magnet that can be used to carry items to large to fit inside.

Your regular infantry are boring, but your specialist squads are spectacular! The Paladin is my favorite of your vehicles.
An army marches on its stomach, and its favorite food is fudge.

Thanks for the comments guys!
Well, I tried to mix up the regular infantry as best I could. Some units, for instance, have backpacks and caps instead of helmets. Some also have different torso designs (namely the torso from the A-Wing pilots)Pwnerade wrote:Your regular infantry are boring, but your specialist squads are spectacular! Um...Okay...Thanks
Re: The Insterstellar Republic of Kuragin
This is phenomenal. The sheer quantity is pretty impressive, and I love that you've mixed in variety and some uniformity. Throw in ferocity and bossity and it looks like you've got the "ity" down pat.
Love the tanks.
Love the tanks.

Yeah, tanks are my favorite part of perhaps any army, hence why I try to make mine look somewhat good...
