Want to schedule it for a specific day, Matt? We could have "OPENING CEREMONY" shenanigans and strike earth for the forum's new settlement. Give everyone present creative mode and a plan and then build a city in an hour.

I'm in. But we should make some plans. You don't want 5x5x5 cots next to 30x100x30 monster towers. Also I'd like to do something fancy, not just another village. I once saw a screenshot of a monstrous tree house Lothlórien-stile in a giant tree with room for dozens of citizens. A flying fortress with lots of towers everywhere and maze-like interior would also be cool.

Will the old factions such as Ironfall still be around or will there be new ones? If new ones are made Matt would you mind if I made a steampunk faction or does the server strictly need to stay medieval?

With our numbers it will be hard to even get one full fledged faction together.

How would your steampunk faction differ from the rest?

If we clear a bunch of land/501'st uses MCedit, we can get a pretty sweet city going, the key is to have large lots in the center and outsides, with small house and shop lots in between. Wide roads and things like courtyards are essential too- you want visual diversity without making things cluttered.

If we're going for a small town or village, to be more in-tune with the 20 or so people that we have now, that's a totally different story and I think it could be better served by having everyone log in at once and not allowing creative mode. We could even do some BS about being colonists or Dwarf Fortress migrants.

That went well! I'm calling the fortress BRIKHALLS, as usual. We'll treat it as the community center and construct plans from here, alright?

Basic shape of the [Tree name pending] is there now- if you want to help me out, use the clear space in the middle of the forest to farm up some jungle trees, putting the saplings and logs in the base.
