Just noticed something. Brütal with ü would actually make it brytal.

No it would not. Umlauts are used to make a usually english bandname look more brutal and evil.

This is true. Although not a band, here's an example:

Isn't that a bit racist?

Fun fact: those marks don't actually mean anything.

Back in olden days the only people who knew how to write were monks.
Monks are usually crazy drunk. So as they write, stray ink marks get everywhere.
As other people study how to write, from monk writings, they copy all the inky mistakes.

This is why those marks are called Drunkritic Marks.

The Ü is deigned to look like a smiley face in the middle of a band name. I don't know what the other umlaut letters are for.

The Ö is designed to look like an opera singer or a very hungry person. It is used by metal bands that sound like fat ladies singing.
Examples: Blue Öyster Cult, Mötley Crüe (note the use of the hungry face followed by the happy face)

Wikipedia wrote:in the mockumentary film This Is Spın̈al Tap, fictional rocker David St. Hubbins (Michael McKean) says, "It's like a pair of eyes. You're looking at the umlaut, and it's looking at you."

They're the best progressive tech band out there. And their new album, The Joy of Motion, has just been released!

I really recommend you listen to the rest of their stuff. Pretty masterful.
