Shouldn't Zahru be the host as the reigning champion?

Zahru gets a position as one of the three judges because he won last year, but it doesn't really matter who sets it up and does all the legwork. I only did it last year because nobody else was running it. Before me, nobody who won it set it up, so I was just planning on setting it up again this year.
