WAR OF THE WORLDS TEST BATTLE

this was a test

setup: 4 stinger mk1 and a swordfish vs 3 UPOE fighters and 2 bombers

the first turn ends all that happened was the ships moved up their full speed. the swordfish also turned 45 degrees to allow it's guns a better shot depending on where the UPOE moved next turn

second turn after first: player one stinger mk 1 was destroyed along with 2 UPOE fighters. the swordfish had 2 attacks. batteries (multiple guns that pretty much operate as one.) are on both the left and right sides.

secound turn after all move: at the end of the turn i kill the units that are hit. so here's the debris

third turn after first move: the UPOE launched it's attack. both bombrs and the remaining fighter scored hits. the fighter and the bomber on the right each destroyed a fighter. the other bomber managed to hit the swordfish on the front.

third turn end: next the swordfish destroyed the bomber and moved away along with the last stinger mk1

i understand completely.

all i was trying to accomplish here was to try and get a first version for the rules. as well i used your units because your the only one who's got any units.

Congratulations on being the first to post a microspace battle.  I'm trying to get my own played, but it's difficult to teach other people the vector rules.

it's both microspace and LDD! i did 2 things for the first time in one go!


the basic idea of the rules is as follows:

after set up you each take turns. first move then shoot. if you hit place a red marker or something on the hit ship and the are wich it was hit. after both players turns end then you do damage and crap.

weapons:                 COST         AP ATK ACCURACY  RANGE
L GUNS                      10            1    2         2            16
GUNS                        15            1     3         2            16
H GUNS                      20           2     3         2            24
BOMBS                      20            3     2         2            4
TORPEDOES               30            3     3         4            24 A TURN
L BATTERY                 5 PER GUN 1     2         *            16
H BATTERY                10 PER      2     3         *            24

* = FOR EVERY GUN IN A BATTERY ROLL A DIE. A 6 IS A HIT.

WEAPONS CANNOT ATTACK SHIPS WITH A HIGHER ARMOUR THAN THEIR AP ANY EXTRA AP (AP 1 ARMOUR 0) IS A BONOUS TO ATK

ARMOUR

SMALL    (FIGHTERS BOMBERS)                  1
MEDIUM (CORVETTES DESTROYERS)           1
LARGE    (BATTLESHIPS CERTAIN AREAS ON CRUISERS AND CARRIERS)                                              2

ENGINES
+1 COST PER SPEED

EACH ENGINE STUD = 1 THRUST. THIS IS HOW THRUST BECOMES SPEED

IF UNIT IS:

FIGHTER                                         THRUST X4 = SPEED
CORVETTE/DESTROYER/CRUISER/ETC THRUST X3 = SPEED
BIG                                                THRUST X2 IS SPEED
HUGE (SPACE STATION LIKE)             THRUST = SPEED

example

UPOE fighter. 4 engine studs. 16 speed

Swordfish corvette 4 engine stud areas 12 speed

i'm not the best at explaining things but i hope this helps.

these are only battle rules and really are just meant as a prototype

If you post rules again can you underline some stuff and not make everything caps, its really annoying.
I love the rules but it just took me a while to read them
