[HH] Struggle for Brickingrad - Turn 5+1

Post by AZKAMAT » Sat Nov 04, 2017 1:16 pm

Previous Part

Image

At the open of turn five plus one, FSU civilians make for the beach under the assumption that the navy boats are here to evacuate them.

Image

Civilians move past soldiers and block their way as they run to supposed safety.

Image

Back at the BNP command post, the Premier speaks with his last commander in reserve.

"The battle is turning against us again, commander. The time has come; deploy your legion!"

Image

On the BNP right flank, a huge mass of infantry and armor appear on the map.

Image

A horde of clone infantry has turned up to make one final gambit for BNP victory at Brickingrad.

Image

The clones are mostly uniform in their dress, but a few variants are present. All they are is a product of uniform shortages, not indicative of specialists.

Image

Spearheading the clone charge is a force of BNP armor.

Image

The BNP's only heavy walker prepares to square off with its Federalist counterparts.

Image

One of the armored vehicles is a transport carrying 10 clones.

Image

They look like more than a match for the FSU troops arrayed against them.

Image

They appear to mean business...

Image

The rocket-propelled tank zooms forward and targets the shorter walker with its twin size three cannons.

The shots hit but the walker's armor protects it and its weapons.

Image

The armored vehicles move up. They fire at the Federalists with their main guns and defensive machine guns as they plow into them.

Image

he BNP's light walker fires its cannon at the wall-mounted gun of Fort Ridgeway.

Not pictured; the explosion kills nobody but it blows a bunch of guys off the wall.

Image

Still in the fight, the robot army advances up the BNP's left flank.

Image

The roller tank moves up and gets targeted by a reaction shot from the big tank destroyer on the left.

Image

The tank destroyer finally scores a hit and annihilates the roller tank.

Image

Seeking to end the duel, the Generalissimo moves to decapitate Caesar's bull.

Image

I couldn't decapitate the bull because that'd require me to DESTROY the toy, so this is the best I got.

Caesar is knocked off and disrupted for this turn.

Image

With Caesar temporarily stunned, the Generalissimo makes a run for it.

Image

A BNP ground attacker swoops in for an attack run on the tall walker.

Image

Air combat erupts as two light Federalist fighters clash with the ground attacker's escort fighter.

Image

The BNP fighter goes head-to-head with the first FSU fighter and kills the pilot.

Image

The other FSU fighter flies in to fire a burst at the enemy pilot from the side.

Image

Scratch one!

Image

Air strikes fail to do anything but blow the roof off the Ass-Tearer.

Image

Explosives aimed at the walker veer off and hit the ground near it instead, killing some infantry.

Image

More attack craft setup for attack runs on the walkers.

Image

This one has quite a few bombs.

Image

I forgot to add explosion effects, but the white bomber tried to blow this walker in half. All it did, though, was kill the exposed turret gunner and blow off the left middle leg.

Image

Over at the beach, a BNP hover craft comes in hot to launch missiles at the navy cutter.

Image

Thinking fast, Admiral Bellendswood hurls his trident at the craft's pilot like it's a javelin.

Image

The trident skewers the BNP pilot.

Image

Over by the docks a large squad of infantry emerge from the water. Who are these guys?

Image

They're some kind of marine version of the BNP's clone soldiers. They're making a second bid for the dockyards!

Image

They charge in out of the water and begin attacking everything with their chain-blades

Image

Over by the docks again, a large BNP craft flies in for a landing.

Image

They're airborne clone legionnaires, the elite of the BNP's clone infantry.

Image

They move up and engage the SWAT cops.

Image

The Marshal takes up a dead body and charge a Legionnaire with it, knocking him over. Then he uses their body mass as shielding.

Image

A well-aimed bazooka shot, however, kills the police Marshal anyway.

Image

After wiping out the police, the Legionnaires advance on the docks.

Image

The leader of the tropical Rangers and a random cop make a stand against the marine Legionnaires.

Image

They manage to drop the enemy squad lead and the bazooka clone.

Image

Overwatch shot of the new carnage near the docks.

Image

The yellow comboint that Yagarin ended up next to last turn rushes him, but between his energy shield and powered armor he shrugs it off casually.

He eventually lunges back at the beast with his rifle's chain blade and severs its arm. Blood spurts out and the animal roars as it dies from shock of blood loss.

Image

As the BNP's turn comes to a close, just seven new comboints are birthed out of the hive. The huge mass of Legionnaires has made them almost irrelevant now.

Image

At the open of the Federalists' turn, the walkers re-position slightly. They can't fire as they're reloading their main cannons.

Image

Enraged at the Generalissimo's cowardice, the President raises up his sword to toss it into the scoundrel's back.

Image

Instead the sword accidentally goes flying way up and impales the AT-AT gunner.

Image

Instead men from Force Shade rush him with their laser pikes. Double poking ensues, and from behind even.

Image

That got him!

Image

Marooned without his driver, the gunner of the battle cruiser still has a full loaded tank cannon. He's aimed it at the airborne infantry.

Image

The explosion kills only one but sends most flying.

Image

After being released by her bodyguards, Lady Saxxon encounters Agent Plex as he makes his way eastward.

"You, do something!" she screams, "my guards won't let me re enter the fort. Please, save those men!"

Without even stopping, Plex declares that he is determined to destroy the "source" of the attack and carries on.

Image

The tank destroyer fires again and hits the turret of one of the hover tanks.

Image

Boom tank headshot!

Image

After attempting to buzz-saw this MG robot apart, Colonel Yagarin dropped his assault rifle!

Will his sick gear and sheer ossumness save him this time? Find out maybe some other time!

Image

Overwatch shot of Plex's Cancellor Minors in combat.

Image

Overwatch shot inside Ridgeway. I think it was at this point I just said, "screw it!" and didn't bother rolling dice to see if the killed all the comboints. They just spent their actions for the turn and the things died.

Image

The mech leaps over the wall and tuns to face some comboints at the wall. Then it raises its fists into the air above them.

Image

The pilot brings the fists crashing down and smashes the comboints.

Image

Some rangers move up and engage the marine clones.

Image

Ignoring the new danger, armed civilians keep moving straight to the beach like lemmings to a cliff.

Image

Running over scenery and scattering the civvies, the marine transport heads straight for the BNP invaders.

Image

The little convoy of civilians arrives at the beach.

Image

Civilians rush past a Federalist attack speeder as they make for the docks.

Image

At the end of the longest dock, Gohordon Freemint calls after the cutter for it to come rescue him, but it ignores him as it sails after the clone attackers.

Image

Holy mother of messes
