Zombie lab battle

Friday night my friend and I finally waged the brikwar battle we’ve had in planning stages for months. The rundown is pretty simple, we each had two guys, shared a medik and npc-ed the horde of zombies. The objective: enter the zombie infested lab, shut down the programming, disable/destroy the zombie respawners and get out (preferably alive). Each of our guys was a specialist: engineer, chemistry, tech, and demolitions

The lab, the zombie respawners are the 5 pods spaced throughout.

Our team came pouring out of the access point and immediately began slaughtering zombies.
Image

From careful study of the blueprints they decided to head to the computer room first.
Image

Of course, as soon as they got there they had to fight zombies. Demolitions held the hallway so the others could enter.
Image

Tech disabled the main computer console and Engineer broke that big machine. Not sure what it does, but it looked important, so why not.
Image

Chemistry ran ahead to the chem lab and cleared that up so he could work.
Image

The others arrived shortly to stand guard as he did his thing.
Image

Zombie re-enforcements were on the way.
Image

The others held the halways so Chemistry could work in peace. On the bright side, he discovered a cure. On the downside, he only had enough to coat his own weapons.
Image

Next Demolitions ran ahead to a known supply of explosives.
Image

While his team fought to hold their ground.
Image

Yeah, that’s the right amount of dynamite.
Image

He carried some back before returning for more.
Image

Engineer decided it was time to move into one of the spawning chambers since they had some explosives.
Image

Ah crap, here comes another swarm of zombies down the hallway…hey is that…
Image

…DUDE! I found Waldo! Zombies failed to notice him in their midst.
Image

Which proved detrimental because Waldo hates undead.
Image

What’s he doing now?
Image

Where did he find that gun? None of the zombies were carrying weapons.
Image

And just like that, Waldo left again.
Image

Engineer fought the vampire as Demolitions laid his charges.
Image

Vampire takes a quick swig and is ready for round 2.
Image

Unfortunately, he is no match for the killing machine known as the Engineer.
Image

Aaand BOOM goes the dynamite!
Image

Tech really liked the look of Waldo’s weapon so he went out of his way to retrieve it.
Image

Same story second verse at the next pod.
Image
Image

Chemistry hit that guy so hard he knocked the door down.
Image

Setting charges is hard when the zombies spawn as fast as you can kill them.
Image

But in the end, it was inevitable.
Image

Total kill count, 227 zombies killed, 33 were cured, and 14 injuries were sustained, which made us glad we had the medik. Although to be fair, Tech sustained at least 9 of those injuries. The battle lasted about 7 hours.

SHITDOG. That is a metric fuckton of dead people. This was also fun to read, especially the Waldo part.

Thanks guys. Glad you liked reading it, because it was a lot of fun to play. The objectives really made it more fun than a pure onslaught. Plus the respawning helped us use more zombies than we had figures for, which was nice.

Awesome battle. I barely have the determination to play a 3-to-4 hour battle, much less seven...

You know, last summer me, Finn_striker and one other guy played a zombie brikwar which lasted for MONTHS. Eventually we finished it in winter. (of course the gaming didn't last for months, but many days of playing)
I have a full report, but who would want to make a battle report with 1000+ pictures?? Can't just force to do it.
Oh, nice battle jodokast!

Why don't you just do a highlights reel, by taking about 50-100 of the best moments that you managed to get pictures of? and if you feel like adding more later you could.

Hm. I have LOADS of battles )old ones) which I never put here. I think I'll make a thread for them...

A friend and I had a zombie brikwar not too long ago. He started with three men and had to fight off about 200 or so zombies. In the end, all of his men survived and Dobby the House-Elf died for the greater good.
Personally, I hate zombies. But it sure is a lot of fun killing 'em. Awesome post.
