Emerian Imperial Navy UPDATED 9/18/14

Postby Vami IV » Wed May 14, 2014 8:13 pm

EMERIAN IMPERIAL NAVY
Formed about 2,500 years ago when Emeria had just reached the Space Age (Tek Level 5), it replaced it's outdated seafaring predecessor, and took to the stars. Starting in true Vami Spanish style, the Emerians stole, reverse engineered, and built a grand fleet of Dragonheads that assisted them in their age of conquest. As they explored the stars of the Vipiriath Spiral, they discovered derelict ships from the days of the Deadly Spaceman, and that tek jumped the Emerians by several decades.

Fast forward about 250 years. the Emerians lose the Atlantian War to the Assyrian Star Empire, and were subjugated to the change brought by these odd, new people. Assyria took control of Emeria, brought its technology to date, and used Emerian troops as Auxiliary forces during its many wars with the Czech Republiks, and station Assyrian ships in all Emerian fleets until the 20 years of Assyrian control were up. After the Hole in the Veil was formed by the rogue Trattorian-turned Vami Dr. Roselyn Frank, Emeria establishes contact with the TA, AN, and NATO, but is ignored (Pics or GTFO). Emeria, the Phaleks, and Emprya form PEE (which morphed into EPEEN later), Emerian contractors work with Praetorian investors and contractors and re-purpose some of the outdated Vendetta class ships into the San Lorenzo, but were eventually told to leave.

That brings us to now.
Princesa - Torpedo Boat
Image
Designed to function as a Kamikaze vessel and Torpedo ship, the Princesa is too pathetic to be crewed, so a minor AI commands the vessel. More meant to detonate into the side of a larger ship, the Princesa is rarely ever seen in service in the Emerian Imperial Navy.

Reina - Frigate
Image
The oldest modern vessel in the Emerian armada, the Reina class has seen better days. Mostly replaced by the larger and better armed Galicia, the Reina still sees service as an escort vessel -- When not being scrapped or converted into it's newer cousin.

Santiago - Frigate
Image
When Praetorian shipyards began telling Emerian contractors at Vixen Inc. to GTFO, Emeria began moving it's ship building operations back to Emeria. The Santiago was the first result. Constructed using Emerian construction present in the Galicia, reverse engineered tek from Praetorian-built vessels and destroyed Bavarian ships, and interested Scythian contractors, the Santiago is the beginning of Emeria's newest line of ships.

Galicia - Heavy Frigate
Image
The standard Frigate of the Emerian Armada, the Galicia is one of the most common ships in the Emerian navy. Commissioned during the Atlantian War to add more firepower and armor to the original Reina model. Despite newer vessels like the San Lorenzo or the São Filipe being bigger, more heavily armed, and more modern, the Galicia class is still respected.

São Filipe - Heavy Destroyer
Image
A cut down version of the San Lorenzo, the São Filipe serves as more of detection-based ship more than it was meant to pack a powerful punch against enemy ships (Nevertheless, it still can).

San Lorenzo Mk. III - Battleship
Image
After the Atlantian War with Assyria ended in disaster and the resulting Assyrian-lead upgrade of the Emerian military took place, it became crystal clear to Emeria that it needed a more powerful navy. Emeria discovered the Praetorian Empire during the Second Battle of New York, and contacted them when that debacle ended. Desperate to rid themselves of the obsolete Vendettas, they eagerly sold a healthy amount (and continue to) to Emeria, and helped them chop up the ship and adapt it with Emerian technology.

The result was the San Lorenzo (and loss of Praetorian support when they passed off the design as theirs own), and it serves as the main body of the Emerian Navy.
El Burro - Heavy Battleship
Image
Spoiler: show
Better side pic.
Image
Favorite part of the ship, as this the only area of the ship that I could fit into the model.
Image

A recent addition to the Emerian Navy, the El Burro is the current pinnacle of Emerian dominance. Built to bolster the size of the Emerian Navy and increase the firepower it could supply, El Burro (The Donkey) comes with state-of-the-art missile guidance systems (to prevent the ship "blowing itself the fuck up" when it starts shooting at shit).

Feedback is very important. I hate talking to myself.

EDIT:
I have changed the pic to a vessel less pathetic.

Also, this:

Working on a rail gun. Also, I got advice from Dilanski to start at the basics, with floating boxes with much Dakka. So, with this thread here for my Navy, I'm thinking I'll make a "Workshop" thread for advice and tips.

Correction, I will continue to use this thread. Since Dilanski has done stats for all my official vessels, I'll just let him do the rest in time.

In the meanwhile, as I have rediscovered this thread, I will be uploading my ships with their class and (maybe) piece count.
EDIT: I spotted a grammar error. Fixed now.

I've spent the better part of last night and this morning working on this. There's still a lot to go, but it's a start.

UPDATE
As I could never get this to NOT look like the Insolent (a brilliant ship designed by Dilanski), I am discontinuing the construction of the ship. I will, however, keep it in this .lxf file to look at because I find it pleasant to do so.

I will, instead, travel a more Scythe route and build a Carrier with my current skill set, come back when I have more skillz, and totally redesign it.

Emerian Re-Armament Project - Naval Chapter

Postby Vami IV » Mon Jul 28, 2014 6:38 pm

Image
For being:
-Ancient
-Hideous (in Emerian form)
-Not mine.

Adios, Napolitana.

EDIT:
I'll be moving the naval portion of the Emerian Re-Armament to this thread to save (some) space. Also so that thread is actually relevant.

The St. Micheal Orbital Lase System

Postby Vami IV » Tue Aug 05, 2014 11:32 pm

Your homework for this update: Find what this model is based on like Bonn-o-Tron.

Also, I cannot thank BFenix, Scratch, and Colette enough for this one. I did the building, but it would be an infamous plagiarism if it weren't for them.
Front shot
Image
Featuring an OT laser that could gut the biggest of Dreadnoughts and make a Star Juggernaut cringe, four main MAC cannons that would break a Focko in half, and enough turrets to qualify as a Battleship, the St. Micheal is no laughing matter. Additionally, it boasts several missile silos on the back
Image
Here you can see the penis itself. Wherever safe, the laser is coated in anti ship and aircraft guns. The shields are also back here, in case the GIANT FUCKING ORANGE TRANSPLANT LASER IN SPACE wasn't enough of a clue that you shouldn't fuck with the St. Micheal.
Image
Back of the laser.

More updates later.
EDIT: Another spelling error, another day.

Oh, it's cool to have more shots from different angles.

You were inspired by someone's work and made your own original version of it. I think the final product is pretty good! I'd still figure something different out for the solar panels.

Carrier Teaser (for realz this time)

Postby Vami IV » Mon Aug 11, 2014 5:04 pm

OK. I'm back with a Carrier, inspired by the Insolent by Dilanski, but not a carbon copy. This is the overview. I really liked the sloping on the side of the Insolent, but as some of you know I like covering my ships in gun, and I get in a lot of trouble for using existing designs (understandable on some circumstances). This was the solution, and I quite like it. the empty space in between the two will be filled soon with more cool shit.
Image
The engines. Again, my design based on classic Scythe engineering.
Image
And finally, the bridges. I took the original bridge, looked at it some, and built this. I may or may not have to change it based on what Dilanski thinks =P
Image
EDIT: Note that the bridge on top is the original.

You know, Vami, I actually like the idea of a faction that just uses re-fitted designs from other navies in a new colour scheme.
