Right, this is the first mission of the MECH-QUEST that I am running over the next however long it is going to be until you either finish the storyline, or die horribly - the basic layout of a "Turn" is thus.

I will post up a turn and over the following 24 hours the participants will be posting up what to do next until a rough consensus is reached and the most popular/awesome choice goes onto be the action(s) for that turn. Sometimes a vote may be put into place if a consensus cannot be reached, but I am hoping we don't have to commit to doing that every time (I am hoping. AT ALL).

So this is the VIRTUAL TRAINING FIELD. This is where prospective pilots can put their mettle to the test against increasing waves of foes until they either defeat them all of die in a fiery explosion.

More often than not, Fiery explosions.

This is a test of skill and worth - one We hope SLICKBACK will pass to become a fully qualified pilot.

Good luck out there pilot.

(FIRST TURN COMING SOON)

This is cruelty to computers right here, all those baseplates. I should call the RSPCPC on you.

As it turns out, Dilanski was right - the map file corrupted at some point during June. Not sure when, where or how between spending almost three weeks straight at work, my grandmother passing or my recent meningitis bug - working to fix and resume MECH-QUEST right now.

Introducing the CYCLOPS, a small one man unit favoured by mercenary units on the cheap, it is armed with a single pistol and combat knife, and aren't much of a threat to anyone really. Seriously, its like walking around in a giant tin can.

But, there are four of the little buggers - so. As described above - you all post your orders below over the next 24 hours and the consensus or most awesome posts will comprise the next post. So get too it. Before anything else happens dag-nabbit!

I'm going to say to drop grenade fire directly onto the Cyclops at the back. Nothing pretty, just enough explosives to blow it into the mission.

What's our sight range? Could we just twist one of our minigun arms around and spray in both directions? if it's possible, then do it.

Shoot one of those things with a grappling hook. Then use it like a morningstar.

I don't remember if you discussed power usage.  Can we use all four weapons in a turn?  Cause I see no reason not to cause the maximum mayhem possible.  That said, I like the morningstar idea.  Yank that fucker up and whiz him around at one of the others.  If total mayhem is an option, drop a grenade and all minigun fire on the two of them and the surrounding walls to bury them in rubble.

I say we spray two enemy's with minimum fire, pop a grenade at another, and finally shoot the harpoon gun at the finale enemy and smash it into a wall, all four. (hopefully) down in a single turn

There's no reason we couldn't do this while hitting the other three Cyclops with a mix of grenade and minigun fire at the same time.

Yeah let's just do this. Put the mech in 'centrifuge mode' and start the rinsing cycle.
