Florens mouths "follow my lead" and winks to Cuetlachtli!  He then starts to speak in jibberish using a combination of ancient dead languages and whatever general knowledge on Cuetlachtli's strange new world he has!

Orin, not particularly interested in his first quest, decides to join Florene. "Those shard do seem a smidge more interesting, and those lazy oafs at home sent me on this pointless quest... I'll find new honor in this endeavor! Count me in!"

I repeat a few of the words Florens uses, becoming more animated, and mix them in among some of my own language.  Occasionally, I make universal gestures for "questioning" and "the general proceedings/people/area."

Working on the campaign right now! I accidentally saved over the LXF! Have no fear! I'm still here!

Florens and Cuetlachtli make noises at each other.

Image
"I am impressed. I didn't think anyone would ever be able to understand such an uncivilized tongue." says the prince.

Image
He turns to Chulainna. "And what have you gleaned thus far?" he asks.

Image
Elwin continues to inspect the shard.

Image
"Master elf, you say you think another shard may be in the cold region? All of Dalron is cold this time of year, but now that I think of it no place is colder than the ruins of Amereth. It is an unnaturally frigid place and it may be due to the presence of a shard," the prince tells you.

Image
"If there are no objections, I'd like you to depart for Amereth in the morning. I shall make sure you are outfitted properly for such a journey. The wilderness is a very dangerous place," says the prince. "Now, are there any more questions?"

Florens agrees and makes sure to request that his armor is returned to him. When the prince isn't looking he pats Cuetlachtli on the back and says thanks.

Florens is my way in, so I just nod and say thanks in return (in my own language).  I'll be following him around mostly.  It should become clear to the Prince that Flor has explained the situation to me and that I've agreed to aid him.  I'd like to gather my equipment if possible as I am eager to begin or, at least, be ready to go asap.

Elwin agrees to go on the quest as he is interested in collecting more of these shards. He asks, "Prince what else can you tell me about harnessing the power of these crystals?" Elwin will spend the night or time that they have before departing studying and trying to tap into and understand the powers of the crystal and how it can enhance his own magical powers.

Orin joyfully agrees to quest and begins to brighten up and get chummy with everyone else, even cracking a few jokes! He offers some smithing services to the party to sharpen anyone's blades or fix then up some armor (if the prince gives him the resources) before departure.

Anna also agrees to the quest, and offers to help elwin study the crystal. (sorry for not sending in orders I've been pretty busy myself lately)
