Teacher: "Alright students, be seated it's time to begin!"

Teacher: "Ok, Good morning... I've finished marking your tests from the last unit, and you'll be glad to hear that we're done studying Medievo.. now begins the bulk of the History course.. "Past to Present... The Gold Sector!"
(He flicks on a Video)
Teacher: "The first Lesson is a rather short, but still important one, it is the story of our humble beginnings, as we reached out to the stars!"
(All past this point is considered video narration)
From the Snow planets of the North, to the Desert planets of the south.. the fearsome Zarkipatta nebula to the east and the great expanse to the west.. The Gold Sector is truly Marvelous!. Today, we bring you .. Past To Present ... A history of us... a history of... The Gold Sector!...... Sponsored by SPAZPROM, and the Imperiya Education Administration
While today, the civilizations of the Gold Sector are a proud, accomplished, diverse..... and divided minifig folk.. You may be surprised to know, one way or another, we all share the same beginnings to our story... Over 25 revolutions ago, in the Corrupt Communist state of the Union of Soviet Socialist Space Republiks.... a group of protesters dared to run from the oppression of the Communists, Rather than fight.. they planned to escape their oppressors in a spacecraft!

Every one of us owes our existence to that pivotal moment, in R.1992.. Now this isn't to say we're all in bread!, No no!. we'll come back to that later, thankfully. But if it weren't for a dozen brave souls, the course of history would have been -very- different.
20180619_005140 by Dic Jacobus, on Flickr
Of course. Being the oppressive tyrants that they are... the Communists were not about to let their slaves get away!... They attempted to kill or capture the runaways!

But one hero among the group, sacrificed himself to let the rest get away!

The names of these brave souls, have been lost in translation for many years.. Some groups within our civilization revere the group as gods, the "Church of the Saivors" is a notable example. While we'll just call them what they are... Heroes. For they had no idea the chain of events that they would set off that day.. that would change the western arms... forever.

The Man who stood and fought. was sadly killed so his friends could escape... Our Military's highest award for bravery in combat.. was created in dedication to our ultimate fallen hero..

The Ship.. escaped! and fled south to the border zone, by the skin of their teeth they made it out!

While they would wander aimlessly for a while.. They would eventually come across a particular life sustaining planet.. That planet was M-105.... commonly referred to today... as Elkoss...
*The video ends*
Teacher: Well now!.. I admit that was a little.. romanticized.. but it's a rather touching.. true story.. don't you think
Teenage Girl: Are we in bread?
Teacher: Oh goodness... no... not at all. Now.. the next lesson will touch on that but M-105 was already inhabited by a Medieval civilization when the refugees landed.. Now that bit about there being religions worshipping them as gods.. is a little far fetched... Personally it's not a terrible idea to revere them.. which we'll get into why, later... but something you have to understand about these 12 is that they of course... had children. and while they're certainly not gods.. what you could call them is Royal bloodlines. Most of which are long gone now today.... but our leader Alexander Shulga.. is a surviving descendant of one of those bloodlines for example... But we originated from the natives of M-105.... With a lot of help from the 12..
Teenage Boy: So they ruled like kings? why are none of them ruling now?
Teacher: It didn't go down like that, some of them .. or their descendants ended up getting involved in the politics and major events of the world.. But their main contribution was medicine , technology, and education.... The Natives of M-105 were rapidly dying off from a killer plague, and simple space medicine cured the plague, Now of course for a time the simple Medieval Minifigs probably saw the 12 as "Saivors from the Stars" but eventually.. that mostly went away. and their contribution then turned to rapidly advancing the civilization of the planet.. You're familiar with Tek Levels? It's a galactik rating system to gauge the teknological advancement of a planet's minifig society... When we talked about Medievo, they're a 2.. Well because of the actions by our little group here... M-105 entirely skipped TL3! ... Ok, Now I'm going to hand out some quiz sheets just to see what you've picked up. Don't worry, this isn't going to count towards your mark. Yet...

I love all the worldbuilding touches, large and small, in this thing. And much more entertaining than a wiki info dump. Hope to see more.
