The last time I made chili, I grilled the meat into hamburgers first and crumbled them into the chili instead of cooking the meat in a pan. It gave the chili a grilled, smoky taste.I also cut up 4 jalepeno and 4 serrano peppers and threw them in for good measure. It was probably the best chili I've ever had.

But I don't have a grill.

Nope, I never got one of those.
Its just the same as a frying pan with a drain.
I didn't see the need for one.

A charcoal grill would work for Alex's method, I don't have one of those either.

How to make chili:

Step 1 Take at least one chili.
Step 2 Eat it.
Repeat until you faint or lose your tastebuds.

Buy:
- Ground Beef
- A can of diced tomatoes with chili spices in it, may also come with cilantro or onions mixed in, this is good
- A can of either black beans (frijoles negros) or kidney beans or something, to make it seem more like it is real chili
-- If you're making it for me go with the black beans
- Tomato sauce

Step 1: Cook Ground Beef on the frying pan until brown, make sure to smash it to bits as you cook it obviously.
Step 2: Cook tomato sauce and throw in the other stuff (canned crap and ground beef)
Step 3: ??????
Step 4: Eat it

:protip: I've never actually tried this so you might want to take precautions such as being prepared to throw in chili powder or salt or some other stuff if it isn't a good taste.

*EDIT*
I almost forgot, this is a Tzan thread, so it's Haiku time.

Chili on the stove
Throw in spices and peppers
Hope it doesn't suck
