First Car

I can't believe I'm asking you guys anything, but here goes.

I'm looking for my very first car. In general I'm looking for a station wagon, with automatic transmission, for 2000 or less. I've found some good deals, but I'm not sure on the odometer.

My dad says that anything above 100000 miles is bad, but I think thats pretty ridiculous. Where do you guys think the threshold should be? I'm thinking somewhere closer to 200,000, but I know nothing about cars. Except, of course, how to drive them.

Did you read a word I just said? Those things are tanks and will never die. They'll go to 300K before anything serious happens to them.

Legit 8)

I actually have some questions regarding Muscle Cars that you guys might help me with. I'll make a thread for it.

My first car is probably going to be my dad's old BMW E34, once it gets fixed.

I think I'm reading that right... My dad used to watch enough Top Gear (I'd be normally stuck in the room) for me to know how crappy and dangerous those are. Plus, they're slow and ugly. Unlike the Queen Victoria.
