Re: We Sailor Moon now
Loved ep2. They made Ami a Shinji and the subs were much better translated than last ep. I still don't like Moon's 3d transformation but Mercury looked pretty good. The biggest problem is the hair which they animate in chunks in 3d and animate strand by strand in 2d. It's just inconsistent.

Re: We Sailor Moon now
The animation errors really bugged me this time. I guess next week (or is this going to air bi-weekly?) might be better.

Re: Anime Thread
So I abandoned the quest to troll the FBI with Code Geass since it was taking so long. In the spirit of Kyubey's efficiency, I instead took up the much shorter quest of trolling her with Madoka.
And boy has it been paying out.
We're currently on episode 7, right before the glorious troll payout on episodes 8 & 9.

I remember watching Hellsing (original, not ultimate) and Samurai X with the FBI when I was in highschool. Her only comment was "well, it's exciting if you like watching people get dismembered, I guess."

Bi-weekly, yeah. Oh yeah there was one scene where Ami's eyes were completely non-symmetrical. It's almost like they didn't spend 2 years making this...

Aldnoah Zero Episode 3

Holy shit, that was awesome. Also, that after credit scene. The soundtrack for this episode was tight, as in the first episode I was thinking the OST was too similiar to Attack on Titan.
The Princess is surprisingly badass for someone I expected to be sheltered. I wonder if Sloane (or whatever his name is) will defect to the other martians or maybe even the Terrans.
Edit: this is pretty cute out of context:

She probably wouldn't mind. She's nurse, she's seen gross stuff.Vami IV wrote:Never show her Corpse Party Tortured Souls. So fucking cool. I like the acceleration. I was expecting a drawn out dramatic tenseness. I'm pleased as punch that the decided to take the fight to the bad guy. I can't help it but I'm a huge damn fan of the whole defeating a superior enemy by having the wits and intelligence to find and exploit its weakness. This was cleverly done here.
I take what I said about Slaine back a little. It's as I supposed but not done in the way I thought it would be. That after credit scene was brutal and awesome.
My like for the other characters has also strengthened. I like that Inaho isn't all prozac'd out after all. I could take or leave his sister but I like her more now after seeing her conflicted about not being able to fight. This episode also made me like Calm and Inko more. I also dig the LT. And the Captain joining up was surprising. Which is a good sign: that they can pack that much character into such a short time. And yes, the princess is somehow still kind of badass. I'm not sure why I like her so much as she hasn't really done much.

Re: Anime Thread
I'm nearly done Knights of Sidonia, which has been really enjoyable so far. I don't know if it was me getting used to it, but the animation really improves as the show goes on. This scene in particular was amazingly choreographed:

Pretty remarkable considering the scope of the project. I found most, if not all takes quite ugly though that's just preference.
