I will be having a Brikwars battle tomorrow, and since there's a computer in my rom, we could austensibly do alive feed from the battle to the forums! Be watching this thread from 12:00 to 4:00 this Saturday for the long awaited battle between... my motley crew of random things because I don't have an actual army theme yet, and whatever kidko has put together.

You think you could record it please? Because of the whole "being in a different time zone" thing make it kinda hard to figure out the when the live feed is.

I'm in Virginia, if that helps. And no, I can't record it, I have no effective video tools to use. the FBI's digital camera has really crappy graphics, so that's really not an option. As in, one pixel is about the size of a minifig.

No idea what my my timezone is, but I live in Victoria, Australia if anyone wants to figure out my timezone.

Well, Oloth and I are both in VA, USA which is UTC - 6... and Victoria, Australia is UTC +11... And the battle will be at 12-4 on 1/12/08... so for you, it would be happening at 5-9 in the morning on 1/13/08. Fun.

So, first turn: we (kidko and I) each started with our respective armies, me with my odd mix of clones and Undying Minions and Tekmage, and him with his dimmies with heavy artillery and such, and a Shadowy Hero.

Here are a few of the pictures he's taken so far:

His army...

My army...

Most of the terrain...

Yellow-and-black underwater-except-not bunker, with two turrets in the front. You can see it at the edge of the above one, too.

Great start. Captions are below pictures, correct? Also, eager to see how this turns out. And I find that carpet doesn't work too well

First blood! Well, twice...

Image
kidko sideswiped the underwater-except-not thing with his heel, and I had to rebuild it (since he has no idea how)

Image
One of the Dimmy-manned Howitzers kidko has managed to actually hit my speeder, reducing it to rubble.

Ahh... Squads. Here's kidko's firing squad of Dimmies (minus one that blew his head off... gotta love critical failures), which later obliterated my second speeder with a whopping 24 damage from 6d6.

Image
But I took care of his bailed-out pilot, so we're even... for now.

Off to an epic start, go forth and blow up the underwater-except-not thing.

All comments the same as Peter's.

Ah, more madness. My hero just Charged kidko's Dimmy squad, managing to slaughter one of them with an epic 37 damage.

Image
On a critical failure, the turret blows up, along with its operator. Another strike for kidko.

Image
And don't worry about the underwater-except-not thing... it will be rubble soon. kidko's heavy transport, along with three of his minfigs got a head-start on my squad, but it will be contested. I don't know if you can see it, but there is a flying (formerly a swimming) pod with some turrets on it that may come in handy. The entire yellow thing is pretty well outfitted, too. Rubble. Definitely rubble.
