It needed an official thread.

Who: Every fucking Brikwarrior
What: Kickass Brikwar of apocolyptic proportions
When: December 21st, 2012
Where: TBD
Why: Why not?

No excuses for not coming.

Where: St. Charles Missouri Fantasy Shop HQ, 30 minutes west of St. Louis. They've got enough gaming tables there for us to hold several Brikwars at once.

Bring: A 100+ CP Army or a 50+ CP Faction, four+ Baseplates, and two Landmarks [Big Terrain piece built on a baseplate]

And a snack.

Problem is, transportation- then again, if this ACTUALLY FUCKING HAPPENS, who gives a flying shit about transportation? We'll all manage to end up there anyway.

I thought of this last year for it indeed seems more appropriate to host it next year, still, I think this transportation thing wont work out to most people... mainly us Europeans. Trans-Atlantic flights arent cheap you know? Mainly in Winter and Yule vacations where everyone flies over there...

 Perhaps we should organize a EU and US Ragnablok, for the sake of player transportation

Good idea! Come to Berlin, flights are cheap, accomodation as well (maybe i could provide it as well), partys are good.

Well, we should definitely organize that! It would have to be someone that could host epic sized battles and if possible, provide accommodation, also a cheap town with both flights and consumables

How is food in Berlin Apollyon? I went to Düsseldorf once and ate well and cheap

EDIT:

Yep, also that

it could also be part forum battle for people who can't drive out, but maybe on a live feed for sake of orders and whatnot. which brings up the problem of where they would get their army.....

If we do this in Summer 2012, I "only" live 300 miles away from St.Louis, and should have my license. Parental approval however...

That's the gig. Nix that, we've got several places vying for the title...

I was thinking about this last night. There is no possible way for 20+ Brikwarriors to hold one battle without simultaneousness turns or some crap. So we'd hold three battles, one for each era of army. Field, Urban, and Colony.

The main thing is like Paco said. Most of our members [myself included] are not of age yet.

AND the 21'st is prolly a bad idea. Perhaps in the summer?

I like this concession, since I don't fancy sending my fantasy shield wall against some Supertank housing DSM's.

Yea multiple era battles would be nice because besides making it less crowded it would make it possible for people too get turns more often if they had a force in multiple battles

The thing with summer is that I won't be able to go, NY driving minimum is 16 1/2. If it was lowered magically, I would be able.

And I was thinking the same thing on multiple battles.

Live feed: One per battle, multiple computers. Skype again? Or a broadcast yourself site? Perhaps everyone brings a laptop and we have live feeds from all battles, including the UK, recording.

Battle Reporters: The guys [and girl] with the best cameras and battle report skills. Need a good camera and a notebook.

Brik Masters: One or two per table, solves arguments concerning rules, homebrews, and whatnot.

Homebrews: Stats, abilities, and tacked-on rules that aren't in the rulebook would need to be posted here beforehand for approval. Nobody plays Brikwars in exactly the same way, obviously.

Exactly how intent are we on doing this? Because I think it really needs to happen. Time will tell if we can get this vetted to be an official event [NELUG] or something, giving parents something to see saying 'oh, it's official, it's not just little Timmy wanting to go and meet a bunch of his weird internet friends.'

I have plans to be in the midwest for an internship during the summer of 2012; so I may be able to be there. I support this happening.

Yo, why don't we have a space battle for those that can bring ships along with the ground battles and we should have 2 or 3 people taking their turn at once. If we put armies in a circle around the objective, we could have a rotating thing with the 2 halves of the table taking their turns at the same time, the turn takers would be approximately across the table from each other. We would also need to have someone be able to call for people to finish their turns and freeze if 2 people make it to or past the center.
