So I'm thinking that most people have seen Alien, so they know about facehuggers.
I have a few prototypes in Lego and I'm trying to find a few unit characteristics
For them. Any ideas?

Hard to say really...
I'd think the Poison rules might apply, since I had a unit with a transformative bite that worked mechanically similar to what I think you want to do...

Yup. When the facehugger attacks, it makes a UR 2 CC bite attack that deals 1d4 poison damage, and also clings to a minifig's face. The poison gets re-rolled at the beginning of every turn (and added to all damage the minifig takes) until the minifig is killed by it, and a brand new alien baby thing pops out. Whether you want a fully-formed xenomorph at this point or a little squirmy thing that evolves on each turn is up to you.
There's no rules for grapples yet, but a facehugger would be making a grab attack against it's target. Interpret that however you want.

Yeah, I already have a squad of aliens. I would think that only a medic would be able to get the facehugger off of the fig if even... It would have to pretty slim chances. And I do agree with the poison idea, sO in that case there would be a 1d6 roll to see how Long the facehugger holds on before eventually dropping off(if the minifig survives that long), and a roll to see how long until the chestburster comes out and when he does a roll to roll to see if he survives it(based on his strength). Kind of complicated but to me it's worth it.

If you have a d4 it'd speed things up. Although, either way I'd still make it so that you only do one roll. The facehugger only NEEDS to be on for one turn to bite, and then the minifig has a short period of time (1d4 or 1d6 turns) before the chestburster pops out and immediately kills him. Less rolls = more playing.

In other words: Screw movie continuity, we want blood!

So should I just apply the vermin rules?

There are, I just haven't written them down. A Grab always succeeds, but counts as a CC attack and so the opponent gets a free Counter. Once you're in a Grab, all CC attacks and counterattacks between the grabber and grabee automatically hit. You can break a Grab with a successful Shove or by killing the opponent or severing his hand or something.

A Facehugger would be a Venomous Vermin with a special type of Contagious Bite.

I second the post pictures motion. You cannot say you have a facehugger prototype and not put it up in digital image form for us to coo over. That is crueller than aiming an OT flame-thrower at the groin of a prone minifig.

I already tried to post pictures but I couldn't figure out how. I got the designs from YouTube though. The facehugger designs were by legoleapardgecko.

I think having a fully-grown alien rip itself out of a 'fig's ribcage would be absolutely horrific, and therefore, hilarious.

I think a Fleebnork would be a great makeshift facehugger.
