Completely Unofficial Brikwars 2010

Post by knight508 » Wed Aug 18, 2010 2:48 pm

I got a completely unofficial Brikwars 2010 rulebook up- it's still a work in progress, so feel free to offer suggestions. New features from 2005 include:
  • Fire
    Poison
    Stun Damage
    Medix
    Mechanix
    Technix
    Specialists of all kinds
Here's the link:https://docs.google.com/fileview?id=0B6 ... NDll&hl=en. Enjoy!
You have been destroyed, wiped out, and disintegrated. Defeat is imminent.

Too bad it requires a password to get to it. I would have liked seeing it.

shotguns are not long ranged weapons
i also don't liek the sheild rules. they should provide a constant bonus, otherwise their no better than an offhand weapon

Wow, pretty good, but lacks the finesses of Rayhawk's rulebook, he takes the time to draw the images and make the diorama's, if he didn't spend that time making brikwars so highly polished and shiny, I wouldn't have got to page 5.

You should highlight the sections that are new or changed from 2005.

The 2010 rules are almost done, I'm not going to go back and re-edit them all over again. Just curiosity more than anything else.

Rough Draft

Post by knight508 » Thu Aug 19, 2010 3:51 pm

This is just a rough draft. I also would appreciate knowing what the "so many" errors are. In response to comments on the rulebook's aesthetics: I know that it looks a little unpolished, but I'm working on some better illustrations. 3d design takes time comparable to hand illustration- each full-color illustration of the Deadly Spaceman takes several days to complete.

I'd appreciate some more in-depth suggestions, beyond uninformative sentences. Stubby, could you please clarify what you mean when you say "the 2010 rules are almost complete?" Is this an unofficial project like mine, or do you have some sort of official arrangement with Rayhawk? And, yes, I will highlight the changed sections. Expect a changed version within the day.
